  • When a person is confronted with a problem, the intelligence of his action is dependent on three primary factors:
    1) His desire to solve the problem, 2) His ability to solve it, 3) His capacity for handling the human relations involved.
  • Seven types of people (according to how these three factors -ability, desire, human relations- are combined in.every person):
    1) Th "A" Type = Ability, but no desire, no human relations. 2) Th "D" Type = Desire, but no ability and no human relations. 3) Th "HR" Type = Human relations, but no desire and no ability. 4) Th "A-D" Type = Ability and desire, but no human relations. 5) Th "A-HR" Type = Ability and human relations but no desire. 6) Th "D-HR" Type = Desire and human relations but no ability. 7) Th "A-D-HR" Type = Ability, desire and human relations.
