On or before March 10, 2015, each student will be required to have a conference to lock in which boxes he/she will be completing for the project.
The interim 3/10/15 requirements listed in each box will be checked and/or collected. If the student does NOT comply with the date requirements, an
email or phone call home will be made to alert parents/guardians that the student is behind on the project.
The CHOICE BOARD project is a PROJECT grade worth 30 points (9 points per box + 3 pts for meeting the interim 03/10/15 due date).
Additional Requirements:
Crossword Puzzle –
must have 20 algebra vocabulary words from Chapter 7-8-9 NOTEBOOK + 20 questions for them, may be done by
hand or using an on-line crossword puzzle maker (www.discoveryeducation.com/free-puzzlemaker) and choose
“CrisCross”, must also provide an answer key with the original puzzle and questions, use 30x50 to print or pull into a
Word document
Act Out a Skit -
1 minute long per person minimum - may have a group (3 people would be 3 minutes minimum), perform live in front of
class or may be recorded by students (must have your own equipment) to show in class if students do not want to act it

Jingle/Rap/Song -
1 minute long per person minimum - may have a group (3 people would be 3 minutes minimum), perform live in front of

All steps required to factor the quadratic expression must be clearly listed and included through the cartoon frames, and
must be factored correctly to demonstrate understanding, neat and colorful
Imagine/Write a Story -
Must include 20 algebra vocabulary words from Ch 7-8-9 math NOTEBOOK correctly spelled and defined in the context
of the story, must be typed in minimum 12 pt font
Timeline of the Life of a Quadratics Mathematician
Must include mathematician’s full name, 10 life moments with correct dates from birth until death,
and how he/she was involved with quadratics; minimum of 5 pictures, poster paper 11 x 17
Collage/Poster of
Real-World Quadratics -
Must include title and a minimum of 15 printed pictures of real-world uses of quadratics (parabolas)
in the real world (should NOT include the pictures from your math notebook!) Colorful, no free space! Take and print
your own color photographs and/or print from internet sources.
Be a Photographer
Real-World Quadratics -
You will be responsible for taking and printing in color 10 photographs of quadratics in the
real-world. Printed photographs must be unique with a written description of the location of the quadratic detailed and
the date the photo was taken. Do NOT choose this option unless you have a color printer outside of school to use to
print your photographs! No excuses!
