The field of Safety and Health is always evolving and in economic challenging times it is critical to learn and be able to plan for new regulatory requirements coming this year and that are planned into the future as well as be able to learn / see new products and services developed as economic and new challenges over the past year became evident. This event is one I know I can find answers and meet with authorities on matters pertinent to [INSERT COMPANY NAME], and discover potential cost saving ideas that we would benefit from along with actionable items that are directly applicable to my role and current projects, including: [INSERT INITIATIVE OR PROJECT] [INSERT INITIATIVE OR PROJECT] [INSERT INITIATIVE OR PROJECT] The Governor’s Safety and Health conference is the largest Safety and Health conference in Alaska, focusing on the S&H needs of the industry frontline. It is noted for the quality and diversity of its speakers, the caliber of its programming and the engaged audience it attracts. To get a sense of what the conference has to offer, I encourage you to visit the conference’s website at: www.akgshc.com. In the meantime, here’s a quick overview: The Conference is a two day event, that also offers Pre-Conference OSHA 10 hour General Industry & Construction classes. The two full days with five concurrent sessions to choose between and will offer two general sessions. This event for the first time will host a regulatory panel discussion covering what to expect as focus this next year, where we’re headed, etc. all covered by the Federal / State / and Research organizations on Safety. A surprise Keynote will cover the “True Cost of Safety”. The State will recognize Innovations and Excellence in Safety of companies and individuals vital to safety throughout the state. Post conference hazard recognition workshops are also being planned. Plus, the program includes valuable opportunities for me to network with my peers from leading companies in many industries. I can not only meet them face-to-face but also have a chance to problem-solve and get boots-on-the-ground reports on how new Safety and Health products and solutions are actually performing in the real world. The return on investment for this event makes it a real value.
