High-K Heat Exchanger

advertisement
…an innovative shell and tube heat exchanger with an exceptionally high
heat transfer coefficient for industrial fluid cooling and air conditioning
The HIGH-K® Heat Exchanger is a high efficient, straight tube heat exchanger,
capable of obtaining 5 deg. F approach temperatures. The performance can
be compared to that of a plate and frame, however, with the straight tube design
the dirty side can be inspected or cleaned while leaving the system side running.
Stand-by and ease of maintenance are what the HIGH-K® is all about.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS…
Software:
• The software has been changed to be very
user friendly
• Optimization is much easier
• The HIGH-K® can be sized to fit most spaces,
and to match existing pump. The software
allows you many options
Equipment Changes:
• Victaulic connections will be standard on all
field connections
• Isolation valve pricing has been slashed
• Water box ends 6’’ – 12” will have Victaulic ends
as standard for ease of maintenance
• Stainless steel shells will replace out-dated HDG.
• The 4” is back, and is available for the
under 100 GPM situations
NEW SALES & MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES…
• New product!!!! The HIGH-K® Trim Cooler,
for the customer who needs a little more cooling
for a short time during the year. It comes complete
with a thermostatically controlled, modulating
valve that uses city water to temper the load
• The HIGH-K® can be sold as a Pre-Fabricated
Process System, complete with pumps of your
choice, air control, filtration system, remote sump
tank and controls
• Custom support system, or building the unit as
a part of a system that you have designed to
meet the customer’s exact needs, can be done
• Power point presentation that can be customized
for each of your customers

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM HIGH-K®…
Anyone who is responsible for keeping a heat transfer
system running regardless of fouling:
HIGH-K® Construction Details:
1. The shell is constructed of carbon steel
pipe with an option for stainless steel.
2. The heat exchanger tubes are fabricated
from seamless copper with enhanced surface
to increase turbulence and heat transfer both
inside and out. Tubes are individually
replaceable.
3. The fluid turbulating baffles direct the flow
of the shell-side fluid over the tubes in a spiral
pattern, increasing the heat transfer rate.
They are fabricated of injection-molded glassfilled Polypropylene

5. The compression seal consists of a neoprene tube
sheet gasket between two steel tube sheets. The steel
tube sheets are not welded to the shell, nor are the
tubes brazed or rolled into the steel tube sheets. The
tube sheet assembly is slipped over the ends of the tube
bundle. When the seal bolts are tightened, the steel
tube sheets compress the neoprene tube sheet gasket.
The neoprene tube sheet gasket grips the tube ends
and forms a seal which is as effective as brazing,
rolling, or welding the tubes into a fixed tube sheet. The
compression seal may be easily
disassembled to allow tube bundle removal
