MITOSIS
• A cell divides by copying its DNA, then splitting nucleus & cytoplasm.
• Allows organisms to grow & repair.
• One division that creates 2 identical daughter cells.

MEIOSIS
• Produces the gametes (cells) used in reproduction.
• Two sets of divisions creating 4 daughter cells with half chromosomes.

BINARY FISSION
• A form of asexual reproduction because there is only one parent.
• Used by organisms like bacteria.
• Offspring are genetically identical to the parent.
