Mi casa Oral Presentation Guidelines

You have several options when doing this presentation:
1. Option 1-Take actual pictures (15 slides) of the different rooms in your house (from the inside of
the house ONLY) attach photos to a PowerPoint or Prezi with no words then introduce and
describe each room including furniture pieces.
2. Option 2- Create a video walking us through your house (like MTV CRIBS) starting from the
inside of the front door (NOT THE OUTSIDE) speaking only in Spanish taking us through the
house describing the rooms and the pieces of furniture in it.
Using the target language (Spanish), students will prepare a 2-3 minute video presentation of a
house.
 ALL students should actually be seen in the video and not talking behind the scene
 Students should start at the front door and walk viewers through the “important rooms”
(living room, dining room, family room, kitchen/breakfast nook, your room, bathroom,
garage and any others that you would like to share) speaking only in Spanish.
 Upon arrival to each room, please state which room we will be entering
 Name a few furniture pieces in each room
 Students should not sound as if they are reading a script…conversation should naturally flow
 Do not use CELL PHONES that are not compatible with windows to record this project!
Digital Cameras and Camcorders only please. If you decide to use a cell phone make sure
you know how you will transfer the video from the phone to Edmodo
 Make sure that you are following dress code when recording…in others words dress
appropriately in the video.
3. Option 3-Create a PowerPoint or Prezi (15 slides) using pictures from the images section on
Google and totally lie in Spanish about the way your house looks!
4.
3-D version – Build a 3-D version of a house. Be creative…creativity is the key with this option.
You can even use cardboard boxes! Try to find the most cost efficient way to build your model
home. Students will prepare a 2-3 minute presentation of their house in Spanish from memory.

Put all projects on Edmodo to ensure that it works. Be creative and have fun!

e. Vamos a ir al…=Let’s go to the…
f. Vamos a subir la escalera…=Let’s go up the stairs
g. Vamos a bajar…= Let’s go downstairs
h. Hay= there are/there is
i. Yo tengo= I have
