Third Grade Lewis and Clark Research Presentation You are going to follow in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark as they explored our country. Lewis and Clark wrote letters and kept journals in order to share what they had learned. Instead of writing letters you are going to share what you discover through a PowerPoint presentation that you will show to you teacher and your classmates. You will have a total of 26 slides: Slide 1: Introduction slide Title of your presentation Your name Date completed Slides 2-6 deal with the following date: August 3, 1804 Slide 2-date and location (where are they?) Slide 22 will be a map showing their journey. Slide 23 will be a listing of the resources you used to gather your facts to make slides of 2-6 the PowerPoint. Use the same colored background that matches the colors of that group of slides. Slide 24 will be a listing of the resources you used to gather your facts to make slides of 7-11 the PowerPoint. Use the same colored background that matches the colors of that group of slides. Slide 25 will be a listing of the resources you used to gather your facts to make slides of 12-16 the PowerPoint. Use the same colored background that matches the colors of that group of slides Slide 26 will be a listing of the resources you used to gather your facts to make slides of 16-22 the PowerPoint. Use the same colored background that matches the colors of that group of slides Things to remember: 1. Be creative. Your classmates are gathering the same information so you need to find a way to make your presentation stand out. 2. Use different colored backgrounds to help group information about the same date together. Slides 2-6 should have the same colored background; slides 7-11 should be the same color; slides 12-16 should be the same color; slides 17-22 should be the same color; and slides 23-26 should be the same color. 3. Every time you use an internet site to get information you will need to document/list the sites you used. Someone else created those websites and shared it with you, so you need to remember to give them credit. Use slides 23-26 to list your resources. Use the same colored background that matches the colors of that group of slides. 4. Font size should be a minimum of 40, but a 44 size font would be even better. You may use different fonts for the same group of slides. 5. Use different types of slide transitions. You are going to present this to the class so make sure you do NOT check the “automatic” box. Leave it on “click.” 6. You may use custom animation to add motion, but keep it simple. Make sure that the animation is not a distraction but will add to the presentation.
