FINANCIAL AID AWARD LETTERS: If you have applied and been accepted to your university and have completed your FAFSA,
you should be receiving a financial aid award letter either in the mail, by email, or on the student portal for your college. This letter
outlines the cost of attending the university and details which scholarships, grants, loans, and other financial aid you have been
offered. In most cases, you must respond to these offers by May 1 to let the university know if you will be accepting any of the
financial aid. If you do not respond, you may lose the monies they are offering you. If you are not sure what to do, please come in
and see me in the College & Career Center. Bring your letters so we can be sure to include all your awards on our list for honors
night and for our scholarship totals.
FAFSA: ALL SENIORS should complete this FREE application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to complete yours as
soon as possible. If you and/or your parents have not done your taxes, you may estimate based on your 2011 tax returns and then
