Life in the Rainforest
• In the rainforest
there’s lots of life. In
this slide show I well
be showing you
vegetation and animal
life throughout the
rainforest!
• There so many
fascinating things
in the Rainforest
but I’ am going to
start with one of
my favorites! The
animals!!! 
Golden Lion Tamarin
• This is a picture of the Golden
Lion Tamarin.
Don’t let the name fool you
thought this is no lion at all!
In fact this little animal here is
a monkey near extension !
Golden Lion Tamarin
adapts to its environment
with its long, sharp claws,
that help them pick out
bugs from dead logs, small
tree holes, and wherever
else bugs live.
• Species: rosalia.
Slender Loris
• The slender Loris is
a small, primate
found only in the
tropical rainforests
of Southern India
and Sri Lanka.
Slender loris adapts
with their long arms
and legs to twist
around trees and
branches without
alerting it’s prey!
• Species:
tardigradus
malabaricus
Bengal Tiger
• This is the Bengal Tiger.
The Bengal Tiger is a
beautiful animal.
• It lives in the regions of
India, Bangladesh,
China, Siberia, and
Indonesia. The weight
of the tiger can be up to
575 pounds.Bengal tiger
adapts with it’s strength
to kill animals and it’s
very sneaky.
• and quiet .
• Species: Tigris Tigris.
Toco Toucan!
• Meet Uncle toucan.Ha
HA.
The Toco toucan is not
endangered because it's
able to adapt to man
made habitats when the
rainforests are
destroyed…
The Toco Toucan is the
largest of the toucans. It
can get to about twentyfour to twenty six inches
in length.
CHIMPANZEE
• Chimps are on the
endangered species list.
There may be as many
as 35,000 chimps in the
wild, but destruction of
their habitats, hunting
and commercial
trapping for the animal
trade had reduced their
population. At night
chimps construct nests
of leaves and branches
18-29 feet high in a tree.
• Chimpanzees are about
3 to 5 feet tall and weigh
from 99 to 176 pounds.
They have black hair.
• You may think that the
rainforest is all about
its unusually and
fascinating animals
but its also about its
wonderful vegetation
life!!!
BENGAL BAMBOO
• The Bambusa tulda can be
found in the biome of the
Southeast Asian rainforest.
• It physically adapts to its
environment by growing tall
fast so it gets a lot of rain
and sunlight.
COCONUT TREE
• You maybe thinking a
coconut tree? There not in
the rainforest! If you are…
you’re wrong ! One of its
cool adaptations are that…
Coconut trees have long
roots to reach good
moisture!
Species: nucifera
KAPOK TREE
• This is a kapok
tree one of its
cool adaptations
is that large
spines come
outward from the
trunk to not let
damage come to
the trunk.
JAMBU
• This is a Jambu.
A Jambu is a
combination of
things it is a
Fruit, a Flower,
and a Tree!
Now you have
seen some of the
rainforest!
Don’t let it go
become this!>>
