It is estimated that at any given time, 2,000
thunderstorms are occurring on earth and that
lightning strikes the ground about 100 times per
second.
A recent study found that lightning deaths may be
underreported by as much as 30 %.
About 20% of people who are struck by lightning are
killed - most survive! The chances of anyone being
struck by lightning is 1 in 600,000.

More than just appearances
Ask yourself
• What type of pilot do I most want to fly
• What type of engineer do I most want to
work on that plane
• What type of flight attendant do I most want
when the aircraft is on fire
• What type of dispatcher do I want planning
the trip
• What type of manager do I want to work for
In small ways… every day
• What will you walk
by?
• What will you
participate in?
• What will you
instigate?
• What does Safety
mean to you?
YOU have power
