abstract qualities – think “Double
meaning”
Literal and symbolic meaning
Juxtaposition: Act or placement of two
things (usually abstract concepts) near
each other
Revision Process
Step 1: Decide what portion of the test you want to
revise. You can choose from the following:
 Indirect characterization/inference section (6 points)
 Crooks motif paragraph (8 points)
 Defend your foreshadowing (4 points)
 Paragraph response (8 points)

Step 2:
• You must fill out the revision chart worksheet,
and set up a date and time to meet with me.
• You must meet with me sometime next
week. I am free during 4th, 5th, and 8th. If
one of these periods does not work for
you, we can work out a different time!

The story ends without resolving the conflict between Elena’s
