The Expanding Universe:
Goal: Student will be able to cite evidence to demonstrate how the universe is
expanding due to the Big Bang Theory. Students will cite evidence from nonfiction article, text book and from media.
Claim: The universe is believed to be caused by the Big Bang, the energy from
the “bang” was so large that the universe is believed to be growing or
expanding. Citing evidence from the article the Dark Universe and media from
the documentary Cosmos prove the claim above using specific evidence to
write a four paragraph essay.
