Career Summary:
All I ever wanted to do was be around shiny, sleek & exciting cars. Cricket & games were for others . . . for me it was always cars.
I worked part-time in an auto magazine thru 5 years of college, much of it without any pay. When Tata Motors came recruiting
to campus, I knew who my first full-time employer was to be. I was one of the 9 sparks selected nationwide for the elite new
cadre of Management Trainees. Since then a series of ever newer and bigger automotive challenges have called to me. Frankly, I
never sought a new assignment – the assignment sought me. Name any role in automotive marketing – I’ve done it.
Call me an Executionist – Execution is what determines my worth to the company. No matter what the task, I shall execute – per
brief, within deadline, within budget. There are too many Talkers in the world, too few Doers – People who can take a given
situation by scruff of the neck and drag it, kicking screaming & biting to the desired outcome. I don’t boast a 100% strike rate.
But whenever I failed it was not for the want of effort or application. At the end of the day – I can always look at myself in the
eye, knowing that I delivered my 100%.
I have tried to shape myself as a leader who is assertive, inspirational and leads from the front in the mould of Rudyard Kipling’s
epic poem ‘If’.
