– Missing subject or verb
• Helped raise money for the team.
• A run on sentence has 2 complete thoughts that run
together
– They all worked together the party was a success.
• Fix a run on sentence by making it separate sentences
OR a compound sentence.
– They all worked together. The party was a success.
– They all worked together and the party was a
success.
Lesson 4: Subject/Verb Agreement
• Agreement means sentence parts match.
• A singular subject needs singular verb.
– Daisy plays the violin.
• A plural subject needs a plural verb.
– Chip and Tim play guitars.
