OF MYSELF

Realizing Your Potential
Say what you want when
you have the time,
because
tomorrow
maybe one day late. Our
deepest
regrets
are
words unsaid and things
undone.
Business is a lot like
tennis – those who don’t
serve well end up losing.
An expert is someone
who knows some of the
worst mistakes that can
be made in his subject
and how to avoid them.
Notes:
6
Old House – New House
Some people dream of
success, while others
wake up and work hard
at it.
It’s better to regret
something you have
done, than to regret
something you haven’t
done.
To fear the worst often
cures the worse (William
Shakespeare)
Most of what we do in a day is fairly
routine. And because it becomes routine, we
have become comfortable with our
surroundings and often resist to any form of
change. Routine is your “Old House”.
Change is scary and frightening when one
doesn’t know what is in store at the end of
the road. Change can be exciting when one
anticipates clearly what awaits them when
they reach their goal.
However, to improve in life, one must
change because to improve is to change
from one state to better state. The desire to
change begins with having clear goals. If the
goals are clear, the desire and motivation to
achieve those goals would be heightened.
Change is your “New House”.
Hence, by making your outcomes or goals
crystal clear, i.e. by knowing what you want,
you will be able to obtain the drive
(motivation) to achieve your goals.
7
Choice Vs Chance
Excellence is never an
accident.
(Derric
Johnson)
People
are
always
blaming circumstances
for what they are. I don’t
believe in circumstances.
The people who get on
this world are the people
who get up and look for
the circumstances they
want, and if they can’t
find them, make them.
(George Bernard Shaw)
You may be disappointed
if you fail, but you are
doomed if you don’t try.
CHOICE
CHANCE
Every Moment is A
………………………….
‘Success’ has different meanings to different people. Some define ‘success’ as
being rich. There are some people who refer to success based on how high up
they are in the social ladder. Some others refer to success to the ability to
balance life between the Present and the Hereafter.
WhateveR the definition, everybody agrees that success can only be achieve by
making the right CHOICES. Why leave your life to chance and probabilities when
you can always do something about it?
So CHOOSE! Make your CHOICE! TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE!
8
Solving Problems
Crisis doesn’t develop
character; crisis reveals
character.
Learn from yesterday,
live for tomorrow. The
important thing is not to
stop questioning. (Albert
Einstein)
Failure
is
the
opportunity to begin
again, more intelligently.
Every problem has a …………………....
Every solution begins with …...….!

Going For Excellence
Excellent
It does not matter how
slowly you go, so long as
you
do not
stop.
(Confucius)
Best
An experience is never a
failure because it always
serves
to
show
something.
(Thomas
Alva Edison)

All things are impossible
as long as they seem so...

My Specific Life Targets
MYSELF
MY FAMILY
MY CAREER
MY UNIVERSITY
Goals must be clear and in detail. If our goals are not clear and in
detail, how would we know we are heading the right way (towards
achieving our goals)? Writing down our goals is the first step towards
achieving them. We must be able to see what we want, and see them
clearly, only then will we be able to take appropriate action towards
achieving them. If we cannot express our goals in writing, draw or use
pictures cut out from magazines, newspapers, etc. The point is, these
goals must be clear. When our goals are clear, we will do anything and
everything to achieve them. The clearer it becomes, the more
motivated we are to achieve it.

The Heart of Good Communication
1.Know what you want, your goal or outcome in any
situation, so there is a purpose to the communication.
2.Be alert to the responses you are getting. Keep your
attention outwards to see, hear and feel how the other
people are responding.
3.Have the flexibility to keep changing what you do or say
until you get what you want.
(this is different than doing the same thing – and when it does not work, doing it harder)

The Individual Vs Team

A human life is a single

be part of a great

The Meaning of “BEING IN A TEAM”
We see what we know.
All rivers run into the

TEAM SPIRIT
It is much easier to be
critical than to be

(Benjamin

Dealing With Team Initiated Conflicts
• Be team oriented – it’s never YOU but WE
• Be positive
• Focus on behaviour not the person
• Focus on opportunities
• Be specific
• Be cooperative
• Be encouraging

Working As A Team
A well-run restaurant is
like a winning baseball
team. It makes the most
of every crew member’s
talent
and
takes
advantage of every splitsecond opportunity to
speed up service (ray
Kroc,
Founder
of
McDonald’s).
Winners make goals;
losers make excuses.
He who would eat the
fruit must climb the tree.
