Segment Two Collaboration Project Florida History: 1861-present Florida history will be included on the EOC exam, so for this segment, students will be collaborating to learn more about our states interesting history. Using the Florida Memory Website and timeline, students will work collaboratively to create a digital presentation highlighting key events in Florida History. Students will choose twelve events from the timeline and complete research to elaborate on each event. Presentation may be in the form of a storybook, digital storyboard, comic book, public Service announcement, screenplay, newscast, etc. Website: http://www.floridamemory.com/exhibits/timeline/ Requirements: Project must include two events from each section (total of 12): Civil War and Reconstruction 1861-1876, Gilded Age and Progressive Era in Florida 1877-1913, Florida During WWI 1914-1918, Boom and Bust 1920-1940, Florida in WWII 1941-1945, Florida in the Modern Era 1945- present. Teams may decide how to divide the sections/workload, but project must be completed collaboratively. Each event must include an image and 4-6 sentences describing the event and the impact it had on the people of Florida. ALL WORK MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS (cannot copy/paste from timeline).
