Syria was one of the ottoman empire state before of the fall of ottoman empire It’s change as kingdom under king Feisal I rule Syria was one country before French get in there country for 25 year. Syria was country but it’s fell and they divide it to 6 countries These countries get back as one country except Lebanon . The French revolution finished the ‘Great Syrian Revolt’ since the end of World War I The step of imperialism After the end of the world war I the people in Syria give the rule to king Feisal and he give Yusuf El- Azama the power of his army and Yusuf build a good army but One of the generals in French military was named: Henri Gouraud came to Lebanese port with his army and he sent a letter telling him that he have to give the power to France and he told him to dismiss the Syrian army in 24 hours. The Battle of Maysalun *The Commander of the Syrian army disagreed with his king and he asked some soldiers from his army to join him to stand against the French army and when the king asked him why ? He said: "it's about our dignity” *After that they found the French army coming so they asked why did they come ? *The French told theme the time is finished *Yusuf went to the battlefield with 3000 men and they were a random people *They fought against 9000 solder from French army After the battle Yusuf El-Azama died fighting the French and the French when the battle and he chastened Syrian people because they fight him by dividing their country The countries These countries built as Religious doctrines and some territories get indolence like Lebanon and Damascus and Aleppo Sheikh Sultan al-Atrash The leader of Syrian people against the French imperialism The Indochina imperialism The Indochina's include: Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. they were kingdoms and after the French colonies, Japan command them for a while before they get the power back. The Great British Empire The countries that were under British command in Asia are: Iraq Palestine India “The sun never sets on the British Empire” The east Indian company The east Indian company trade with India seems normal, but they couldn't control their work very well because of the east French company and the Mughal Empire. The Battle of Plassy The Mughal Empire get so weak and that was a great opportunity for the British to get the power in India They fought against each other in a battle called the Battle of Plassey and the British defeat the French and the Indian *India became very important to British and they called India the “jewel of crown’’ *Queen Elizabeth I changed the company to be a government for India *In the early 1800s, Britain controlled India with Indian troops called sepoys. *The rules British officials made forced Soldiers to go against their religion in *In 1857, the Indian troops grew angry and began the sepoy rebellion.
