Duties & Responsibilities:













Carrying out value engineering and cost analysis based on Client’s budget constraints.
Quantity take offs based on the drawings or actual site conditions and cross check with BOQ.
Compiling of tender documents as well as making of pre-qualification documents.
Attending to Mid Tender Meetings & Site Visits for new Tenders and clarify the Tender requirements and
uncertainties.
Co-ordinate with internal project team followed by an approval and review by the client for the work schedule,
progress measurement and reporting systems and status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep the
management apprised of the progress on a monthly basis.
Prepare project operational budget break-down based on Work Breakdown Structures showing each cost elements
(Labour, Materials, & Equipment) and assign cost centers and codes covering Indirect and Direct Cost distribution.
Coordinate with Estimations department and Finance department in establishing Project chart for accounts of awarded
contract job.
Communicate with Client Representatives in proper reporting methodology through email, letter and fax.
Cost Engineering through Earn Value Method, Pricing and Estimating for Bid & RFQ, Analyse the BOQ rates with
respect to previous pricing and costing.
Floating enquiries & negotiations with suppliers / sub-contractors and evaluate them based on their Quotations.
Plan and schedule the project by developing a project master schedule in line with the contract requirements through
the application of the software Primavera (P6).
Identify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the resources to various
phases of the project through the project measurement system.
Business profit / lost analysis and report to board of directors.

2. Environmental Impacts Assessment (EIA) on Proposed Waste to Energy Plant Project in Karadiyana – Sri Lanka
Collaboration with “Octagon Consolidated Berhad, Malaysia”.
Description: Potential Impacts on the environment which can be caused by the proposed waste to energy recovery
plant were analysed taken into account several parameters such as Ecology, Pollution, Aesthetics,
Heritage, Socio Economy and Human Interest of the Environmental and Social condition of the proposed
project area.
