About It’s Magic!
The tradition of an all-star magic show started in 1956 when two young entrepreneurs,
Milt Larsen and Oliver Berliner, produced a show called Hocus Pocus ‘56. At first, the
shows played for a very limited time only, but as the number of fans grew, the number
of performances was expanded. This gave Larsen the idea of forming a full-time private
club for magicians and magic enthusiasts, and thus was born the Magic Castle, a
private club for magicians and magical enthusiasts that opened its doors in 1963. Terry
Hill, a longtime Magic Castle member, made the point that although magicians could be
seen throughout the year at the Castle, the public rarely had a chance to see these
great performers. Also, the Castle had stage limitations and was restricted to audiences
over twenty-one years of age. There was a real need for an exciting full evening familyfriendly show like It’s Magic!
CHRIS BLACKMORE
Chris Blackmore is an Award Winning Comedian and Magician. A featured entertainer
at DisneyWorld, Chris performs worldwide on Television, Casino Showrooms and
Luxury Cruise Ships, and has been headlining Warren and Annabelle’s Magic Club in
Maui, Hawaii for over eight years. Fast paced and funny, be prepared for “The Quickest
Wit in Magic…” Chris Blackmore.
HENRIK BOTHE
A native of Denmark, Henrik began entertaining at an early age once he was
mesmerized by plate-spinning acts on The Ed Sullivan Show. He ultimately attended
Aahus Theater Academy to focus on the performing arts. Henrik got his professional
start in Europe in the 80’s comedy duo “Twist and Shout.” After relocating to San
Francisco, Henrik was introduced to the world of Improvisational Theatre. In the early
90’s Henrik moved to Seattle and headlined as an entertainer for all major cruise lines,
developing his well-known “Neonman”, a glow-in-the-dark optical illusion that has taken
him all over the world for TV appearances and is now a major component in his show.
That was also when Henrik recreated his plate spinning routine. Performance highlights
include appearing on Garrison Keillor‘s A Prairie Home Companion where Garrison
exclaimed, “Henrik is one of the few jugglers that have ever succeeded in performing on
the radio.” Henrik has also made appearances with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show in
Las Vegas at Ceasar’s Palace and on Europe’s most widely viewed variety show Le
Plus Grande Cabaret du Monde in Paris. Today Henrik performs physical comedy as a
professional entertainer for corporate, local and national events. When Henrik isn’t
performing solo he either tours theaters in the US with Woody Keppel in “Foolz,” a duo
show for all ages, or performs with Steve G as “The Bellini Twins”.

DAVID & DANIA
Together, David Maas and Dania Kaseeva present one of the most original and
astonishing magic acts ever seen on stage or in the ring since the days of the legendary
Italian transformist Fregoli. David & Dania met in 1995 on a circus tour, where Dania
was performing her award-winning hula-hoop act and David was working as a singing
ringmaster. Whether presented on stage or in a circus ring, their elegant acts of
metamorphosis are simply unbelievable. Since David & Dania's debut in 1996,
audiences have responded to their incredible illusions with tremendous ovations. They
are presently guest starring at the most prestigious magic conventions around the
world, as well as performing as one of the featured halftime acts for the NBA. In 2006,
