HAT (HOMELESS ASSISTANCE TEAM) TRAINING with SAN DIEGO RESCUE
MISSION
HAT training is a GREAT way for your church to be educated on how to help the homeless in
your congregation or that you may come in contact with. The Downtown Fellowship of
Churches and Ministries is holding a Homeless Assistance Team (HAT) training on Saturday
April 13, 2013 from 9am-2pm. The primary purpose of a HAT team is to be a source of support
to a currently homeless person seeking more healthy and sustainable living. HAT teams are
volunteers from church communities who are organized and trained to provide support to a
homeless person. A HAT team helps provide emotional, spiritual and practical support. This is a
great way for your church to receive training about how to truly help a homeless individual.
