Meridian Audio continues to forge ahead at
2015 International CES
Las Vegas, Nevada is set to host a thrilling display of pioneering technology
from Meridian Audio, the Cambridgeshire-based technology company.
Last year ended in momentous fashion for the British company: its MQA
(Master Quality Authenticated) breakthrough technology, announced in
December, remains the talk of the town, from the music industry to the AV
sector. (Not forgetting music fans eagerly anticipating hearing ‘best ever
audio’ versions of their cherished songs and albums.) Visitors to 2015
International CES can expect to learn more about how MQA delivers such
extraordinary levels of audio performance, yet travels in a file small enough to
effortlessly meet the compact demands of today’s preferred music sources.
Callers to the Meridian Audio suite can experience MQA-encoded music in
action, as well as meet the audio design experts behind this revolutionary
music format. The company will also be making significant announcements
concerning ‘MQA through 2015’ and expects to name official MQA technology
partners, ultimately enabling music fans across the globe to experience MQA
performance during the early part of 2015
Meridian Audio has been at the forefront of digital audio technology for many
years – 2014 International CES saw the company mark the 25th anniversary
of the launch of the world’s first digital loudspeaker – and 2015 International
CES sees the innovative British maker take its SE loudspeaker range and
800 Series to MQA compatible status. The Prime Headphone Amplifier also
receives an MQA upgrade, while the Explorer2 builds on its award-winning
forebear, delivering the world’s first MQA-enabled USB DAC.
The Control 15 – aka Sooloos – digital media system also receives an
upgrade, making it compatible with TIDAL the high-resolution music
streaming service. And those who take the time to look beyond and above will
spot the new DSP320 digital in-ceiling loudspeaker. Making its CES debut,
this high-performance model helps demonstrate that Meridian Audio creates
not just super-flexible, high-performance software, but eminently adaptable,
premium sounding hardware, too.
This year’s CES also sees Meridian showcasing its latest home integration
partnershipsControl4 and Savant home automation systems. The company
will also highlight its thriving automotive partnerships, including examples of
the spectacular systems currently available in the latest Jaguar and Range
Rover models.
Commenting on Meridian Audio’s presence at 2015 International CES, John
Buchanan, CEO at Meridian Audio said, “The industry reaction to MQA, our
latest technological innovation, has been exceptional, and this year’s CES is
another milestone on our mission to bring best ever audio quality to music
fans. And let’s not forget that we are directing this cutting-edge audio
technology knowhow at our existing range, from portable USB DACs to
flagship digital loudspeakers, meaning exceptional performance benefits
across the board.”
