What particular value do you think involving these
rules and signs that we follow?
In every rule or law there is a particular value and
that is LOVE. In fact God’s law, which is the Ten
Commandments, is also rooted in love. God gave
the Decalogue to his people as a sign of his love
for them. He does not want his people to
AFTER:
After realizing how Jesus manifested and completed
the two greatest commandments in His very life, the
students will also imitate and follow the
commandment of Jesus rooted in love. Jesus public
ministry showed how he dealt with the poor, the
sick, the sinners and the needy. They are
challenged to be Christ-like by sharing their food
with their classmates, helping their classmates in
difficult subjects, taking the initiative to maintain the
cleanliness of the schooland in doing the household
chores at home. Furthermore, to love their enemies
by praying for them.
experience being unloved or being slaves again,
hence he gave them laws that would guide and
motivate them to live a loving and harmonious life.
In the New Testament, particularly in Mt 22:34-40,
Jesus summarized the Decalogue into the
Greatest Commandments of Love.
(The teacher will showthe gospel in the power
point presentation however the students is still
encouraged to locate the said verses in their own
Bible)
What does the Greatest Commandments of Love
say?
Jesus stressed the direct relationship between
love of God and love of neighbor. He explained
that the rest of the laws are based on the two.
They are like the hinges on which the entire law
