If your main goal is to get credit for
Composition 101 in college and not
take AP classes, Advanced English 4
is probably a better choice

AP Language offers dual-enrollment through KState Salina for ENGL 100 Expository Writing
The AP Language test can result in 3-6 hours of
college credit and has rigorous national standards,
making a passing score resume worthy
 At Kansas State and Kansas University, AP
Language is worth 3 hours of credit currently
AP Literature, the class available senior year, often
offers college credit for a 200 level literature class
 Honestly, to be certain you need to contact the
registrar of a college you are interested in
Advanced English 4 often offers the same credit as
my class, AP Language. In Adv. E4, all students
pay to dual-enroll through Hutchinson Community
College.

written essays (some timed) and
fiction and non-fiction selections.
You can expect weekly homework
assignments with both reading and
writing.
You are expected to be able to write
well and keep up with daily work.
We also prep for the ACT.
Summer reading is Into the Wild by
Jon Krakauer. Assessment is essay
form.
