Dear Parents, The New Berlin Elementary Birthday Book Club is a wonderful way to honor your child on his or her birthday. This year our school is celebrating treat-free birthdays, so purchasing a Birthday Book is a lasting alternative to celebrate your child’s special day. This is how you join the Birthday Book Club: Send cash or a check for $15.00 so your child can choose a book from the special “Birthday Bookshelf” located in the library. OR, purchase one of the books listed on the back of this page to donate to the library. Complete the donation form below and send it with the money or book to the school office. A book plate will be placed inside the book with your child’s name, the donor’s name, and the child’s birthday. Also, your child will be the first student to check out the book from the library. At the end of each month, a picture will be taken of that month’s Birthday Book Club honorees to be published in the local papers. Your gift of a book will stay in the library to not only be enjoyed by your child, but by many children for years to come. It will also become part of a growing collection at New Berlin Elementary; to date, over 110 books have been added to the library thanks to gifts like yours! Donating a book is also a great way to honor or remember someone on another special occasion. For example, you may choose to honor a grandparent or a special teacher. Simply fill out the donation form below, substituting the appropriate information. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns in regards to this information. Thank you for considering a donation to our library’s Birthday Book Club. The great thing about donating a book is that it is a gift that will be opened again and again.
