Confession Unit Presentations
Directions: Due to the brevity of time left in the semester, the group
presenting the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation will function as our
teachers for the unit. Each student will be assigned a particular section of the
chapter. He or she is responsible for thoroughly teaching the class the major
points of that section, including vocabulary words and main ideas.
Each person below will be assigned a section of the chapter. All four people
are responsible for reading pp 147-155 and deciding who will present what
material from those pages. Because of this work load, all four people
assigned to this presentation are exempt from review questions for the
Eucharist chapter.

Advice:
1) Remember...be thorough, but brief. You can’t tell us your entire section
word for word. You must practice the art of summarizing, which gives the
main idea in an organized, shortened fashion.
2) Is there a way to organize your section into a chart? Or depict it in a
picture?
3) How will you get your audience involved? Each presenter should think of a
discussion question to pose to his or her peers, or some other activity that
calls upon the participation of the audience. Activities should be approved by
the teacher first.
4) Video clips or other props for the presentation are welcome.
*Being absent on a day you’re expected to present is generally unacceptable
and may affect one’s grade. Being unprepared for the presentation is also
unacceptable, and will result in a major loss of points.
Students should seek the teacher’s advice well in advance of the day of
presentation.
Presentation days: Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November
21st.
