Progression of the event: the progression of the event is based on the 5 steps in
the Craiova Power Capacity Building Model (reference: OBAMA)
STEP 1 = Day 1
Long-term unemployed in dead-end situations willing to create missions to
change their situation through community action
Who are they and how to engage them?

STEP 2 = Day 2
Combining personal interests with community needs
Skills – experience – talents – dreams
Community change detectives – exploring the community – dialogues with citizens
– what is wrong here – what could be changed

STEP 3 = Day 3
Working with the community, creating resources and building alliances
Who has an interest – who would support – some learning on the way – who would
benefit – creating alliances – using resources and creating new

STEP 4 = Day 4
Establishing a service, an association, a small business and similar
Organizing – planning – financing – trying out – see how it works – plan B if needed


The team chairs are responsible for elaborating on the produced scenarios and
making the scenarios available in the Craiova BaseCamp, say no later than the 1 st
of February.
The scenarios can be used for the final guidance material and to illustrate the
project’s capacity building and taking action in the community approaches.

CRAIOVA INFRASTRUCTURES
MATERIAL
The Craiova Power Event will work with the following materials, besides the
general project inspiration material in BaseCamp:
- The complete Craiova Power Collection
- Cases: produced prior to the event by the local teams and assessed by the
Craiova Power Team
- Role-model cases: produced by the project to guide the production of local
cases
- Scenarios: the results of the teamwork in Craiova, taking the selected cases
through the project’s taking action model, represented by the Craiova Power
Progression
- A collection of the best guidance documents
TEAMS
The Craiova Power Event includes 2 team types:
- Ad hoc random teams for the first day’s in flow
- Pre-composed teams for the teamwork along the event, including a team chair
for each team (responsible for the following morning’s juice reporting)
FACILITATION
One or two event facilitators should ensure the smooth progression of the event
and take the needed steps to make the needed adjustments. They must be
selected and briefed by the project.
PLENUM REFLECTION
The aim of the plenum reflections is to offer the teams a collective reflection
space for challenges, questions and answers before they finalize their scenarios.
The plenum reflection could also offer new input for the teams.
PEP-TALKS
The aim of the morning and step-based pep-talks is to kick-start the day’s taking
action thematics through short, provocative and direct 10 minutes pep-talks from
people selected by the project.
Role-models having changed their lives through taking action could be one of the
two or three morning pep-talks, but such role-models must be made relevant to
the thematics of the day.
NATIONAL TEAMS’ SHARING FORUM
Each of the full work days offers an open transnational sharing forum (around 1½
hours) in which the local teams can present and discuss their experience and
challenges.
Each sharing forum should be dedicated to specific local teams as indicated in
the agenda.
The Romanian sharing forum will special, as
- A 2 hour session is foreseen
- The entire sharing forum is devoted to the Romanian partners
- The Romanian sharing forum can include participation from the community
