Our excursions From historical battlefields, market towns and D-Day beaches to Disneyland, cheese making and chocolate, all Kingswood excursions provide that perfect blend of excitement, creative learning and adventure. All our meals are created with health and nutrition in mind - the food is French and provides students with a fantastic opportunity to try new things, and yes, even frog legs and snails! We serve a healthy continental breakfast each morning and a large, balanced packed lunch is provided for excursions. Dinner is a four course sit-down meal each evening in our communal dining area – the food is French and vegetarian selections are available. Plenty of juice and water is available at all times. Most dietary requirements can be catered for as long as we are told in advance - forms will be issued to the group prior to your visit for this purpose and to establish any medical needs. Bedtime routine To finish off each day, hot chocolate is served before students return to their dorms. Plenty of sleep is required to recharge the batteries, so lights are usually turned out by 10:15pm. Our guides Our Château guides are trained to offer a truly enriching and immersive experience, making sure each student is engaged and getting the most out of every trip Safety & Wellbeing We know how nerve-wracking it can be letting your child go on a residential visit, so we do everything we can to make it a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Our policies and procedures are designed to make sure we adhere to the highest safety standards at all times: • Continual safety and first aid training for all staff • Regular checks on equipment before and after every activity session • Qualified First-Aider and Duty Manager are on call 24/7 • Boundary fencing and coded entry mean the Chateau provides a safe and fully secure environment. All Kingswood staff are fully DBS checked and are trained to take responsibility for the well-being of the children in their care. We create a warm, supportive environment for students so they quickly feel at home and our activities are progressive, allowing students to join in at whatever level they’re comfortable with.
