CALL TO WORSHIP (from Amos 5:8)
Please Stand and Read Responsively
Seek Him who made the cluster of stars called
Pleiades and the constellation Orion,
Who turns the shadow of death or
deep darkness into the morning?
And who darkens the day into night?
Who calls for the waters of the sea and
pours them out upon the face of the
earth?
Jehovah is His name!

Lord I Lift Your Name On High
Lord I lift your name on high, Lord I love to sing your praises
I’m so glad you’re in my life, I’m so glad you came to save us.
You came from heaven to earth to show the way
From the earth to the cross my debts to pay
From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky
Lord I lift your name on high.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
(Please Read In Unison)
Almighty and Merciful God,
Forgive us when our faith grows dim, when we
grow weary in doing justice, when we tire of
feeding the hungry, when we want the poor and
unclean to stay far from us, when we fail to give
witness to your great love for us. In your mercy,
remind us that you give us the vision and power to
bring justice, to feed the hungry, to clothe and
house the poor, to speak the gospel truth to others.
Time of Silent Confession
TIME OF CONFESSION (Continued)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS (From Numbers 14:17)
The Lord is long-suffering and slow to
anger, and abundant in mercy and
loving-kindness, forgiving iniquity and
transgression.
Amen.

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see you, I want to see you.
To see you high and lifted up, Shining in the light of your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy,
Holy, holy, holy,
I want to see you.

something really big.
Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job.
Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the
cheetahs.
When you're stressed, float a while.
Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow
waiting.
“Noah’s Ark”
Genesis 6:5-8
The Story Begins…
The LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind was great in
the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of their
hearts was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:5
Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was
filled with violence. And God saw that the earth was
corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon the earth.
Genesis 6:11-12
"I will blot out from the earth the human beings I have created-people together with animals and creeping things and birds of the
air, for I am sorry that I have made them." Genesis 6:7
And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all
flesh, for the earth is filled with violence because of them; now I
am going to destroy them along with the earth. Genesis 6:13
For my part, I am going to bring a flood of waters on the earth, to
destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life;
everything that is on the earth shall die. Genesis 6:17
And the LORD was sorry that he had made humankind on the
earth, and it grieved him to his heart.
Genesis 6:6
Nancy and Pete
Noah!
Noah found favor in the sight of the LORD…. Noah was a
righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with
God.
Genesis 6:8-9
For my part, I am going to bring a flood of waters on the
earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the
breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. But I
will establish my covenant with you
Genesis 6:17-18
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month,
on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the
fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of
the heavens were opened. The rain fell on the earth forty
days and forty nights.
Genesis 7:11-12
17 The
flood continued forty days on the earth; and the waters increased,
and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters
swelled and increased greatly on the earth; and the ark floated on the
face of the waters. 19 The waters swelled so mightily on the earth that
all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered; 20 the
waters swelled above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits
deep. 21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, domestic
animals, wild animals, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth,
and all human beings; 22 everything on dry land in whose nostrils was
the breath of life died. 23 He blotted out every living thing that was on
the face of the ground, human beings and animals and creeping things
and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth. Only Noah
was left, and those that were with him in the ark. 24 And the waters
swelled on the earth for one hundred fifty days.
Genesis 7:17-24
But God remembers Noah…
God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the
domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God
made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided; 2
the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens
were closed, the rain from the heavens was restrained, 3 and
the waters gradually receded from the earth.
Genesis 8:1-3
"I will never again curse the ground because of
humankind…nor will I ever again destroy every living
creature as I have done. As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day
and night, shall not cease.“
Genesis 8:21-22
God said, "This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and
you and every living creature that is with you, for all future
generations: I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of
the covenant between me and the earth. When I bring clouds over
the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, I will remember my
covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all
flesh; and the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all
flesh. When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the
everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all
flesh that is on the earth." God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the
covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the
earth.“
Genesis 9:12-17

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
Please remain seated. The pastor will pray first and then invite
the congregation to pray the Lord’s Prayer afterwards.
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your
name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on
earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily
bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and
the power and the glory, forever. Amen.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: APOSTLE’S CREED
Please Stand and Read in Unison
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of
heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our
Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died, and buried. He descended into hell. The
third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended
into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the quick and
the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic
church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
