Conceptual Design
A brief summary of the website and how it works.
This system’s purpose is to provide an online web presence
for Socaz Painting. Online customers will be able to read
about the company’s experience and values. They will also
be able to view letters from satisfied customers. Photos of
recently completed painting jobs will be available as
examples of Socaz’s work. Once the customer has decided
to contract their painting job through Socaz, they have
multiple options on how to contact Socaz Painting. An online
form allows them to automatically send information on their
painting job to Socaz. A representative will then contact them
to schedule an estimate. They also can visit the Contact Us
page to get in touch with Socaz directly either by phone, fax,
email, or even a visit to their office. This website is designed
to provide Socaz with an online presence, and to aid
customers in researching and deciding on having a
professional paint job done.
System Requirements

A computer that is internet capable.

to be done. Socaz only does these on site.
Referral – (in this case) To direct and/or advise another
customer hire to Socaz Painting because of the high

Task Scenario
A specific case example of how someone might use the site.
1.
A customer interested in having a professional paint job done
for their living room visits the Socaz Painting website.
Looking at the main page, they learn out that Socaz is a
PDCA member. This customer then visits the Our Work page
and sees the photos of Socaz’s previous work. Impressed by
Socaz Painting, they visit the Contact Us page, click the
Driving Directions link, and visit Socaz in person to begin
their painting job.

A small business owner wanting their shop repainted visits
the Socaz Painting website. They see that Socaz is PDCA
approved, and go to the Contractor Selection page to read up
on the values followed by all PDCA members. This customer
decides to contact Socaz for a painting estimate, fills out the
Online Form, and submits it to Socaz. A representative from
Socaz contacts them and sets up a meeting to get their
project on the way.

Socaz Painting is a full-service painting contractor based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We offer both interior and exterior painting for residence and small businesses.
We have the experience and expertise to meet your painting needs. Socaz Painting employees have over 10 years experience in the painting business, and some have as
many as 25 years of experience. Socaz Painting is fully insured, and holds a membership with the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA). This
membership means that we hold ourselves to high standards so that we can offer our customers the highest quality service.
Our website is designed to help you get to know Socaz Painting. The Our Values section tells you more about the standards of painting business that we hold ourselves
to. Our Work features photos of recently completed painting jobs, and Testimonial features letter from a few of our satisfied customers. The Contractor Selection page
will direct you to sections of the official PDCA website that will advise you on what to look for in a painting contractor. The Request An Estimate Page will provide
you with an online form by which to let us know what kind of painting services you need, so that we can contact you to arrange an estimate. If you don’t want to use the

Socaz Painting is a proud member of the national trade association, the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA).
PDCA has been in existence since 1884 and has over 3100 members all over the country and parts of Canada. The focus of the association is the education of its
members and the promotion of professionalism within the industry.
The PDCA produces nationally recognized standards that discuss many different aspects of a painting project. Use of these standards in proposals and contracts helps
improve communication between the client and the contractor, assists in ensuring quality, and becomes a basis for evaluating the job’s requirements.
