OST 1100 KEYBOARDING & DOCUMENT FORMATTING
(Subject to change by the instructor to meet the needs of the students.)
There is considerable work to be completed in this class. It is easy to fall behind. Most students spend 2-5 hours
completing their work. You may use the computer lab in the library or any of the other computer rooms when they are
available, or you may work at home or at a local library. See instructor for help with working at home.

From here on, whenever doing word processing documents:
 Be sure to score each word document (26-3, 26-4, 27-6, etc.).
 Correct errors and re-score. You may edit the documents as many times as
you need to; however, your goal is to have “0” errors the first time through or
to edit the document only one time. On PROGRESS CHECKS and WORD
PROCESSING TESTS you will be allowed to edit only one time.
Week 7 starting Mon 10/3/11

Unit 6: Correspondence
 Complete exercises in Lessons 26 through 30 (except for lesson 30-19)
Progress Check 30-19. This must be completed in class when you
come back to class next week. Progress Checks are timed and have an
extra grade assigned (they are weekly tests). You must have completed
all lessons to this point or you will lose points on this test (10 points lost
for each day you are not up-to-date). Ask for instructions on how to
gauge the time and how to print.

Final Exam Week
 In class: Complete Progress Check 60-52 (14 minutes)
Please notice that you have an extra week before the final exam. If you feel you
need additional timings, you will find supplemental timings in the back of the book.
You access those timings by clicking on “Timed Writings” at the top of your
screen and then in the left panel, choose “Other” and then open the
“Supplementary Timed Writing” link. As always, only do each timing two times. If
you do better on these timings, they will count in place of your previous timings.
Part 3 (final) Exam will be administered on
