passionate about providing quality and understanding nursing care.
Currently, I am completing the Practical Nurse Diploma Program at NorQuest College, and will be
finished this October. During my time at NorQuest, I have learned the theory required by a LPN to
acquire licensing – this includes anatomy and physiology, psychology for health care professionals
and health assessment. My clinical experience has taught me how to work hands on as a practical
nurse in an acute setting. I have had the opportunity to interact with patients and their families,

changes. I have also become familiar with the legal, ethical, and procedural guidelines required by
LPNs working in Alberta. My seven years as an outpatient Laboratory Assistant has given me an
opportunity to gain experience in patient care and has allowed me to become familiar with some
basic testing, as well as the needs of health care clients.
