provides residential property inspections, field services, and property preservation for high-volume
lenders, loan servicers, government agencies, GSEs, asset management, and other business clients.

repairs, eviction management, lien resolution, HOA fees, utilities management, VPR, and code

preserve, and maintain properties on behalf of clients and coordinate the company’s efforts with asset
managers and brokers to facilitate a rapid sale and maximize value of clients’ real estate owned.

THE POSITION
The Business and Financial Analyst assists the Controller to ensure Sentinel’s financial and operational
reporting is accurate, timely, and enables management and key stakeholders to be informed of
financial and operational performance of the business. This requires understanding and accurate
mapping of business transactions from initiation to completion (front to back) to assess enterprise risks
and operational gaps, in order to develop gap closure solutions to remediate undesirable risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
 Ensure that Sentinel fully complies with accounting regulations and governmental legislation.
 Ensure operational processes are designed to report exceptions to contractual compliance with
Sentinel’s counter parties.
 Assess revenue and payable processes for adequacy of preventive and detective controls to ensure
all economic transactions are accurately and timely captured in the accounting processes.
 Ensure proper internal controls are in place over cash related activities.
 Ensure operational detailed activities (from UPAMS and EZinspections systems) are reconciled at
least monthly to general ledger balances.
 Assist management in development of financial and operational metrics for effective monitoring of
financial and operational performance.
 Assist management in development of vendor scorecards.
 Assist management in development of quality control tracking processes and reporting.
 Provide pro forma financial and operational analysis as needed by management and key
stakeholders.
 Provide project management support as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE




Minimum three to five years of successful financial and operational analysis experience.
Strong financial, operational, and enterprise risk management skills and experience.
Experience in service industries, property preservation, real estate and mortgage services a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication and leadership abilities and skills.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
 Proven successful experience in financial and operational analysis, with strong process orientation.
 Proven knowledge in and experience with accounting principles, account reconciliations, payment
and billing processes, and risk/control principles.
 Proven ability to work effectively across functional disciplines.
 Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
 Proven quick learner to become familiar with Sentinel operational systems (UPAMS, EZinspections)
and clients’ systems (P-260, Equator).
REQUIRED EDUCATION
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related discipline with a recognized accredited
university.
 Professional certifications (CPA, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus.
