Modification: Alter scoring system depending on what you want to emphasize. Royal Family 7:40pm IBA Drill 7:45pm NBA Drill No Babies Allowed Rebounding 3 on 3 4 on 4 8:00pm Implementation of “Break” 8:10pm Four Line Post Passing 2 Lines FT Line Extended 2 Lines on Block 4 Basketballs Progression (both sides of the floor) 1. Take the charge.Offensive player rolls the ball toward half court 2. Dive on the floor for the loose ball. Pass ball to coach at ¾ court. 3. Finish through contact at other end of court (coach with pad) Coach starts at top of key with ball and passes ball to offensvie player at the wing Defense must come from opposite side of lane to take charge Works on toughness Must finish with made basket Each team is on defense for 90 straight seconds 1 point for a defensive rebound 2 points for offensive rebound Regulation scoring for made baskets Pass to coach under the basket on all made baskets/defensive rebounds If offensive team gets rebound they keep playing, implement shot clock for this Offensive team circles off the court behind next team and waits to come in ”Hit” and go get the ball!! Roles for transition 1. Lead Guard 2. Guard/Small Forward/Wing 3. Guard/Small Forward/Wing 4. Forward/Post 5. Forward/Post Player 1 “Hits” and gets to ball side boundary and catches the ball while heading up court Players 2/3 SPRINT up the court within 1 foot of the boundary line Players 4/5 take the ball out of basket (if a make). One of them will SPRINT to ball side block, the other will trail. Options: Primary Break (2 or fewer defenders back) 1. LayUp 2. Wing Score 3. Post Entry Secondary Break (More than 2 players back) 4. Back Screen for Player 1 5. Reverse for Flex Cut Great Communication Drill Great Warm Up Drill Progression: 1. Score in the Post (1:30) 2. Score the Kick Out (1:30) 3. Score the Re-Post (1:00) Can NOT pass and stand (relocate) Change they way you score on the word “Change”. Everyone yell “Change” A little chaotic but so is a game Focus and Finish on all post moves Communication is key as all players rotate through all lines. Royal Family 8:15pm Two on Two Run to Catch Up Offensive Defensive Transition 8:25pm Blue Devil Transition 8:35pm Purdue 60 point game Great drill for Offensive Movement 8:45pm Shooting Drills 8:55pm Free Throws Ball Handling -Guards/Wings start at half court with defender on their hip -Posts start at 3 point arc with defender in the lane -Lead guard breaks to basket, defender sprints to get in front -Live two on two -Must stay on one side of the floor -Finish everything -Work on Both Sides of the Floor (R/L) Split teams up evenly. Each team has players on both ends of the court Start with one player on FT line and two rebounders on the block Progression 1. One versus Two 2. Two versus Three 3. Three versus Four 4. Four versus Five Regular Scoring System. Play to 10 or play for a certain amount of time. -Half Court Drill -Point Guard starts with live dribble. Once ball is entered there will be no more dribbling. Lay Up = 6 points Foul = 4 points Pass = 1 point Turnover = -5 points Offensive Rebounds = 4 points Defensive Rebounds = 2 points All other scoring is regulation You can not throw a pass to the person that threw it to you unless it was a lay up.
