Update tabu list vector TL by including the pair {i,j} as the first element in TL. If the number of elements in TL is greater than t, drop the last element. Update LTM matrix by setting LTMij=LTMij+1. Set k=k+1. If k>v, invoke long term memory by replacing the original distance matrix D with D+LTM and go to step 2. Otherwise STOP.
