Selected via a peer review application process, participants will be invited to present their doctoral/postdoctoral research to peers and faculty. Preference will be given to applicants whose research and academic interests focus on policy related to issues in nursing, health care and systems, and/or effective care/outcomes. Eligibility Criteria The applicant must satisfy at least one of the following criteria. The applicant must be a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner: who is near completion or has recently completed a PhD in nursing; or who currently holds or has recently completed a post-doctoral fellowship (within the past year). Key Dates and Deadlines June 15, 2015: Deadline for application to Emerging Nurse Scholars 2015 July 10, 2015: Notification of successful applicants July 24, 2015: Offer acceptance deadline Financial Support Competitive awards to provide support for travel and accommodation will be given to all successful applicants. Application requirements Your application must include: 1. Completed Applicant Profile (see page 2 of this package). 2. Abstract of doctoral research thesis (see page 3 of this package). 3. Curriculum Vitae (maximum 5 pages). 4. Letter of application (limit of one page): statement of why the applicant would like to attend; academic career objectives; future research plans. 5. Letter of endorsement from supervisor if you are currently a PhD student.
