New Gold Ltd. – near Yuma, AZ(Feb 2011 to May 2011): PM role at a new SAP PM 6.0 implementation for a global gold mining firm roll-out; doing system building, config. and training at all levels for the gold refinery and the mining fleet of motorized vehicles & equipment.. White Sands Missile Base -U.S. Army Las Cruces, NM (Dec. 2010 to Feb. 2011): Was sole SAP PM consultant for go-live support and end user training of U.S. Army GFEBS project at this base. RTI Metals Intl., Inc. Niles, Ohio(Oct 2010 to Dec 2010): created plant, equipment, maintenance plans, task lists, etc. in the PM module [in ECC 6.0] during Blueprint phase for a new green field titanium plant. Warner-Chilcott - Rockaway, NJ(Dec 2009 …June 2010): Was one of the three-man team for data migration from one ECC 6.0 SAP system to Warner’s ECC 6.0 system an acquisition of a pharmaceutical firm by the client. Global data extraction across nine countries and four languages, data mapping, writing functional specifications, working in cut-over extract file preparation, data loads, testing, et alia for two go-live dates. I was subcontracted to Lodestone (CH). The team’s letter of commendation is available on request. Pakistan Army ERP competition - Lahore, Punjab(Sept 2008 to April 2009) pre-Blueprint to Go-Live project advisor and PM Team Lead of an SAP team designing DFPS logistics demo in competition against Oracle team for award of ERP logistics contract for the Pakistan Army. I helped to initialize, plan, execute, control and close the project to build an SAP system for demonstration from beginning to end. I concurrently managed PM/MM teams to create Functional Locations, Equipment, measuring points, classifications, characteristics, maintenance task lists for scheduled maintenance, et alia of the army data supplied to us and built history for reporting demonstrations; and, ensuring that these technical objects linked to the corresponding DFPS technical objects (DIMP) would work. Applied Materials - Santa Clara CA(Jan 2007 –May 2008) SM consulting role. Started in preBlueprint stage thru to post-go-live support in designing & creating the entire Install Base [Functional Locations, Equipment, Classifications, Characteristics, Values,Partners, etc.] in SAP ECC 6.0 w/ NetWeaver Enterprise Portal. It was installed and now in use in 21 countries]. Did massive, thorough data scrub, wrote and ran unit test scripts, did preparation for conversions, master data creation of Install Base [Functional Locations, Equipment, Customer and Vendor master record maintenance] , technical objects, classes, characteristics and values. Wrote test scripts, did system testing. Taught overseas power users via remote meetings how it would work and how to use it. Did a lot of support for offshore locations. 1 Chevron - San Ramon CA( May 2006 to July 2006) 2 month contract to design blueprint for fleet maintenance module in current SAP ECC 6.0 project to create global template for Chevron’s lubrication plants and truck fleets; i.e., functional locations of oil lube plants, fueling and storage locations and shops; converting master records of fleet vehicle data by class and characteristics from Chevron’s legacy system.. Pacific Gas & Electric - San Luis Obispo CA( July-2005 to Jan 2006): nuclear power plant SAP PM implementation team. Role – from brown paper pre-Blueprint stage thru Realization. Did Master Data migration prep., TDD,FDS & BPP authoring; designed and created master records of functional locations, equipment, vendors & components with respective classifications, characteristics & values based on legacy system design. Configuration and related tasks to migrate from late ‘60s legacy system to R/3 4.7C. Configured PM module to accommodate nuclear reactor requirements.. SBC Corporate Real Estate - Dallas TX(Jan-July 2005 ): I was sole consultant in PM role in Blueprint of largest SAP real estate project to date. SBC owns 24,000+ real properties. Responsible for design and creation of functional locations, inferior and superior and parent/child relationships of same for work order capture. Designed work center concept and work orders for in-house and third party maintenance. The company stopped the project, at this point, for internal reasons. U.S. Army – Logistics Modernization Program -Moorestown NJ( July 2004 to Jan 2005): Quality assurance & documentation team for the PP, MM, and PM facets of the biggest SAP project of all time. I did much Solution Manager work. I corrected design of erroneous transaction processes. Budget for project was stopped by Army because of Iraq invasion and team was rolled off.Dept. of Transportation – State of North Carolina- Raleigh & Charlotte NC(March 2003 to Dec. 2003 R/3 4.6C project. Blueprint to post-go-live support. Created Master Data for loading from their legacy system; training employees in various sites in use of PM & MM transactions for their fleet of 36,000 vehicles, bridges, tunnels asphalt plants, location and vendor master record maintenance, etc. Went ‘live’ April 21st. Helped create variants, master warranty lists, “how to” BPPs for specific transactions, helping find & solve glitches, etc. to streamline workflow, maintenance strategies, PM task lists, and other PM functionalities. Did a lot of training and support. The implementing firm did not use the fleet maintenance module but used, instead the regular maintenance module which required a lot of configuration changes to make it work for a fleet. I corrected erroneous parent/child structure of vehicles in the Equipment records for the entire fleet of 36,000 pieces of motorized equipment, bridges, boats, etc. C.R.Hammerstein AG - Solingen, Germany & Clanton, Alabama: Functional (Sept2002 Feb2003) Functional work creating master records and design in MM ,PP, and WM facets of R/3 4.6C in green field plant implementation for CRH, a manufacturer of auto seats – materials, vendors, plant layout, etc. Worked in Solingen plants prior to their ‘go-live’ (in German) and helped prepare their new plant in Alabama to duplicate the German plant and implementation (in English). 2 Delphi Aftermarket-Europe: Project Management – various locations in Europe: (Sept 2001 –April 2002) Brought in as expeditor to ramrod late projects for on-time “go lives” of R/3 4.6 Automotive 2.0 w/minimal post-go-live problems at Delphi France & Benelux (ask for references); did same in Germany and Spain aftermarket locations simultaneously while minimizing post-go-live problems given the client’s accelerated “go-live” scheduling to go live by cut-over to euro currency. Main accomplishment (besides beating deadline) was to have conducted data migration from multiple legacy systems ensuring squeaky clean data for go-live cut-over. Delphi Automotive HQ USA – Troy MI- Senior Analyst (Dec1999-July2001) At HQ in Troy, Mich. Migration project from 4.0 to R/3 4.6 D, w/ Automotive 2.0. Worked many roles in MM& PP for BPP to-be preparation w/ core teams including Engineering Change Management [a 96 pg. Document]; data migration, backflush, EDI & bar code change for Kanban (certification team), and systems integration. Post-migration support in Span. for Mex. Plants; e.g. MRP, ATP, cost collectors, etc. Live Synchroniser, Win Runner Testing, and Mercury tools. Fielded pre-implementation issues (in Spanish & English), in manufacturing, for two Delphi Mechatronics plants in Mexico - e.g. transition to SAP of parts numbering, MRP, forecasting, Master Data & one post-implementation. KPMG, Team Manager – Mexico City MX: (Feb1998-Sept1999) SAP implementation at Telmex, the Mexican telephone company. Co-managed, and worked in, the BASIS team, MM Team, legacy uploads, Change Management Team, Test Team and Training Team. VSG Software GmbH, Haan, Germany (Jan 1995 - Jan-1996) Served one year as an SAP consultant trainee w/ professional consultants to create an English version of their PM BAPI development; work in field w/ consultants creating MM and BOM Master Records at Lufthansa 3 brake shop, Hamburg; PM blueprinting at Waters Instrument Company in Paris; and PM blueprinting at Stuttgart’s privatized public transit company; and helped create demos for the 1995 Sapphire in Vienna in English & German. After leaving submarine service in the USN, I completed an apprenticeship as an electromotive mechanic while attending college at night. Translated work order BAPI tool created at VSG from German to English (for PM and SM module utilization in English applications of SAP R/3) and MM master data work in Lufthansa hydraulics shop (Hamburg) from Boeing manuals of new aircraft into SAP Taught the use of PM and SM modules and the BAPI to customers in both German and English (1995-6). VSG created a PM/SM BAPI that enabled use of a cellular phone and laptop in the field to communicate with SAP system in the work order system. I translated this from German to English. Concurrently managed shop operations while rebuilding corrupted computerized maintenance management systems for: City of Whittier’s corporate yard; City of San Francisco’s corporate yard (5000 vehicle maintenance system running on a Data General; City of Hayward’s Fleet Management system (plus added a warehouse and added it to system) Designed, wrote and implemented the entire San Francisco Municipal Railway’s (’79’82) maintenance management system (on HP equipment) from schema to after “go live” and added enhancements for three years.
