Review of benefits achieved to date All units in the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) now have a common navigation and layout structure providing familiarity to students who are attached to six of the seven CBS schools. This commonality (baselining) means that students can navigate easily through any unit and focus on the unit outcomes rather than in locating content and resources due to disparate unit organisation. As part of this project, academics have been introduced to the benefits of using Web2.0 tools and, in many cases, have used the baselining of their units as a springboard to incorporate these tools into their approach to teaching and learning. They have also developed the capacity to maintain their units with reduced support from CBS-OTLF. Numerous capacity building workshops have been held to help academics embrace a more flexible approach to teaching and learning. This has extended beyond the project timeline and has involved other CBS academics, a planned outcome of the funding proposal. Additionally, all academics involved in this project now have an online presence.
