In a career spanning 41 years, AA has acquired over-arching experience in all
aspects of banking with specialization in credit, treasury & investment
banking, international banking, technology & risk management
He has held Director level positions and Audit Committee Chairs in companies
in diverse industries viz. Steel & Power, Newsprint, Sugar, Aluminium Foil &
Housing Finance
He co-created and delivered a series of 6 day programs for ICICI Bank’s
Corporate Banking Group to develop, nurture and internalize a strong and
dominant credit culture
He served as an Advisor to Indian Bank on Integrated Risk Management
He taught a course on Bank Management for MBA students at IFMR
He served on IBA committees on software, construction industry, risk
management practices and risk based supervision
He has been Head-Integrated Risk Management, Head-Treasury & HeadCorporate Banking of pre-merger ICICI Bank
He has worked in the two largest commercial banks in the country – ICICI
Bank and State Bank of India with an assignment for 4 years in Chicago (US) as
