AccessSave on the mobile app: FAQs
1. Where do I find AccessSave on the smartphone app?

Swipe the screen from left to right, or click on the menu icon at the top left corner
Select ‘Explore’
Go to the ‘I want to save’ section
Select ‘AccessSave Account’
2. Where do I find AccessSave on the tablet app?

Select the ‘Explore’ tile
Go to the ‘I want to save’ section
Select ‘AccessSave Account’
3. How can I access the funds?

You can give notice at a Standard Bank ATM, in a branch, or call 0860 123 000.
In 7 days, you will then be able to withdraw the funds at an ATM, or you can transfer the
funds from this account to another of your accounts.
4. How can I give notice for withdrawal?

5. Can I give notice to withdraw on the app?

No, unfortunately this function is not yet available. It will be included in future releases.
6. Can I set an AccessSave Target from the app?

No, setting an AccessSave Target can only be done in the branch at this stage.
7. How long will it take before I can withdraw funds after I have given the notice?
-
It will take 7 working days for the funds to become available. At that point you can withdraw
the funds at an ATM, or you can transfer the funds from this account to another of your
accounts.
8. Where can I make a withdrawal?

You can withdraw the funds at any Standard Bank ATM or branch
9. For how long will the funds be available?
-
Funds will be available for you to withdraw (or transfer out of your account), for a period of
10 days only.
After that time, they will be once again “locked” in the AccessSave account, and gaining
interest.
10. What is the difference between “AccessSave Target” and “Savings Goal”?

AccessSave Target: This is a product feature. Go into a branch to set a savings target; if you
reach that target in the 3-month goal-setting period, then you can gain an extra 1% bonus
interest.
Savings Goal: This is a general app feature that allows customers to set certain goals on any
type of savings account, and give the goal a name (i.e. “mountain bike”)
11. I have reached my goal, but I’m not receiving the bonus interest?

As per the above, reaching a goal does not qualify you for the bonus 1% interest. It is only
once you have created an AccessSave Target that you can qualify to get this bonus interest.
12. What happens if there is a problem with opening an AccessSave account on the app?

If there are technical problem with the app, then please try again. If the problem persists
then please call 0860 238 837.
If the problem is not technical but due to anything else, then you will need to visit a branch.
13. Can I also originate other savings accounts/products on the app?
-
Currently, the only savings product that you can originate on the app is AccessSave. In time,
we will make this functionality possible for more of our savings and other accounts.
