When it’s the first day of a month, you use the
word “primero” instead of “uno.”
“Primero” means “first.”

When you are writing the date with
SLASHES in Spanish (like 2/15/2013), the
FIRST number you write actually has to be
the DAY of the month.
The month is the SECOND number after the
slash!
In Spanish-speaking countries, they write
the date using a slash just like we do.
 HOWEVER:
 The day goes first, THEN the month. The
slash is the equivalent of the word “de.”
 Ex: El 28 de noviembre = 28/11

So when the date is 1/3 (meaning the 1st of
February), what you are really saying isn’t
“The ONE of March ” but “The FIRST of
March.”
