The Bay Area High School Vocal Scholarship Programs were established for the purpose of providing
scholarships to deserving high school seniors who are planning to pursue advanced studies in choral music at an

Bridgestone Safety Scholars
The Bridgestone Americas Safety Scholars Contest is open to all students ages 16 through 21. Entrants must
have a valid driver’s license and must be enrolled as full-time students. Entrants must submit a video to convey
effective driver safety and must be 25 to 55 seconds in length. Three Grand Prize winners will receive a $5,000
college scholarship; The 10 top filmmakers will receive a new set of Bridgestone- or Firestone-brand tires.

Cat Lift Trucks will award two $5,000 scholarships to outstanding students from a public and/or
private school within Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty,

PCA's 2010 Triple-Impact CompetitorTM Scholarship Program, sponsored by Deloitte and Thrive Foundation

Gates Millennium Scholars Program
Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) will select 1,000 talented students to receive a good-through-graduation
scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Gates Millennium Scholars provide personal and
professional development through leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college
career. Must be African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or
Hispanic American; and a citizen of the US; GPA of at least 3.3; meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria;
Have completed and submitted all three required forms: the student’s application (Nominee Personal
Information Form), an evaluation of the student’s academic record (Nominator Form) and an evaluation of the
student’s community service and leadership activities.

The George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation awards seventy (70) scholarships to Houston area high

The Goss-Michael Foundation offers scholarships annually to students in order to assist high school seniors

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will award a four-year, $15,000 scholarship to outstanding student
representing specific public school districts within the Metropolitan Houston area. Student must have minimum
score of 1350 on SAT or 19 on ACT; ranked in the upper quarter (1/4) of his/her graduating class at the
completion of his/her 1st semester of the senior year. Student may not receive $40,000 or more total from

The U.S. Navy has established a strong partnership with AHETEMS to encourage more Hispanic high school
seniors and undergraduates to apply for their prestigious U.S. Navy Reserves Officer Training Corp Scholarship
(NROTC). The scholarship provides $180,000 to pay for your entire college education!!! This includes a

The chapters of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) in affiliation with Texas Engineering
Foundation (TEF) will award several scholarships to students studying to become engineers in an engineering

Senior must have scored a 3.0 GPA or higher, and at least a 600 in math, a 550 in critical reading and a 500 in
