SC 1 INT. CLUB HOUSE – NIGHT
CAMERA opens on The DJ scratching on the turn tables which
makes everyone to hail him. The CAMERA pans on the crowd of
revellers in the club house dancing away to hot dance tunes.
We see a handsome young man Damola dancing with a girl.
DAMOLA
Baby… mo n gbadun e gan ni o… mo n feel e like mad.
BUKOLA

Bukola looks at a young man, Richard who’s at the bar nursing
a drink and looking at the revellers.

Damola makes his way through the revellers to Richard at the
bar.

Damola goes to two girls chatting with themselves. From
Richard’s POV we see him talking with the girls and pointing
at Richard. (Inaudible to the audience) Both girls walk up
sexily to Richard who looks confused.

Richard looks at the girls and is uncomfortable. He stutters
when trying to speak.

Scene cuts to Damola toasting another girl Bimpe.

Damola sneaks away foreseeing a fight.

The girls continue insulting themselves. Meanwhile Damola goes
to sit in the lounge beside another girl.

A hand taps Damola who looks back and sees a muscular guy
standing behind him with a scowl on his face. Damola smiles
sheepishly as he stands up.
DAMOLA
Ore mi...
Damola extends his hand for a handsake but the guy just folds
his arms as he looks intently at Damola who has fear written
all over his face as he withdraws his hand.
CAMERA cuts to Bimpe and Bukola still insulting each other.
BUKOLA
Iwo to bin sonu, omo ale osi.
BIMPE
Emi omo aale? Gbogbo family eni omo ale.
A girl comes to them.

CLUB GIRL 3

Bimpe and Bukola look at the direction club girl 3 is pointing
at. The girls go to Damola who is grabbed by the angry
muscular guy. Meanwhile Richard with the girls (who are
touching him sexily) notice his friend is in trouble.
RICHARD
Eh ...excuse me.
He hurries to a corner and starts screaming fire, fire, fire.
Everybody is alarmed on hearing that and there is a stampede
to get out of the club. Muscular guy loses grip on Damola who
uses opportunity to flee. Muscular guy notices and gives chase
with Bimpe and Bukola following him.
BUKOLA (SHOUTING)

Damola meets Richard who calls him and guides him out of the
club amidst the stampede.
SC 2 EXT. CLUB HOUSE – NIGHT
A lot of people are trying to run out of the club. Damola and
Richard get to their car and enter. The muscular guy runs out
and holds on to Damola’s car as they drive off but loses grip.
Bimpe, Bukola and muscular guy’s girlfriend come out with the
crowd and look on as Damola and Richard speed off.

Establishment shot of Damola’s car speeding past the camera on

Damola and Richard are speeding in their car. Damola is
delighted with his friend’s quick thinking.

SC 4 INT. DAMOLA/RICHARD’S APARTMENT- DAY
Damola is still in bed asleep. Richard comes in fully dressed
and walks to the curtains which he draws open bringing in
sunlight which disturbs Damola who wakes up grudgingly and
groans.
RICHARD
Se oo lo school ni? Eight ti koja, abi o ni lecture leni?
DAMOLA (DISMISSIVE)
Jo gbagbe lecture jo, o re mi. Five points mi ti sure ju.
RICHARD

Damola suddenly remembers something.

DAMOLA (ALARMED)

Damola scrambles out of bed and rushes to the bathroom.
Richard laughs at his friend.
RICHARD

SC 5 EXT. UNIVERSITY CAMPUS - DAY
Establishment shot of a busy university campus where students
are moving around.
SC 6 INT. CLASSROOM – DAY
Professor Orimoloye is lecturing a class on marketing 302.

PROF ORIMOLOYE
The principle of place is a very important attribute in the
marketing mix. The location of a business can make or mar any
business as this will affect the visibility of the business to
potential customers.
Damola comes to the class and is aghast when he sees that
professor Orimoloye is in the class. He shrugs and walks
briskly into class and takes a seat.
PROF ORIMOLOYE
Customers will easily spot a business located on a busy
street than one located in an inner street. Young man, why are
you coming into my class at this time?
DAMOLA
(Stands) I’m sorry sir. My alarm clock malfunctioned this
morning.
The class laughs. Professor Orimoloye walks towards him.
PROF ORIMOLOYE
When I say that most of you won’t pass my course you all think
I’m being wicked but I’m merely stating a fact. You children
expect everything on a platter of gold yet you are not ready
to work hard for it. I’m sure you’re one of those whose aim in
this university is to sample all sorts of entertainment
available as I have never seen you in my class before.
DAMOLA
But I attend your classes sir.

Then prove it by giving me your case study on the five p’s of
marketing.
Damola gets his assignment from his bag and gives it to the
lecturer who peruses it.
PROF ORIMOLOYE
I am impressed. Did you do this yourself?
DAMOLA
Yes sir. Most of the business owners stay in my estate so I
had the chance to interview them for the case study.
PROF ORIMOLOYE
Good. But make sure you get a new alarm clock as I won’t
tolerate this lateness in my class again.
DAMOLA
Yes sir. Thank you sir.
Damola goes to his seat relieved.
SC 7 EXT.FACULTY FOYER - DAY
It is a beehive of activities as students throng along the
foyer. Some are relaxing having finished the day’s lecture. We
see Richard in the midst of colleagues discussing and making
analysis from a gigantic textbook in their middle. Damola
saunters towards Richard and his classmates.

Sounds of laughter rent the air to distract them from their
argument. They look at the source of the laughter and see
three girls coming towards their direction.
SC 8 EXT. FACULTY FOYER - CONTINUOUS
A group of 3 female students giggle as they stroll along the
path. Priscilla holds the court with Sewa and Kemi listening.

The girls notice Damola and Richard with their colleagues.

They walk pass the boys. Kemi smiles and waves at Damola who
nods back while Richard stares intensely at Sewa.

Close up on Richard still looking at Sewa who looks back and
then continues on with her friend. Richard remembers how he
met her some days earlier.
SC 9 (FLASHBACK) EXT. UNIVERSITY GROUNDS - DAY
The words ‘A couple of days earlier’ show up on the screen
signifying a flashback. Richard is walking to class when he
sees someone and stops. CAMERA reveals Sewa who seems confused
as she holds a bunch of documents. Richard is still staring at
her when she sees him and walks towards him. Richard’s heart
start to beat faster as Sewa comes closer.

Richard looks at Sewa who looks back at him for a while.
Richard realises his mistake.

Richard leads the way. Sewa follows him wondering at Richard’s
strange behaviour.
SC 10 INT. KEMI’S HOUSE– NIGHT
CAMERA opens on Kemi screaming for joy as Damola is having sex
with her. Her father suddenly storms in. He’s surprised at
what he sees. Kemi notices and pushes Damola off when she
notices her father. They are both naked under the bedsheets.
FATHER
Ehn?Ninu ile mi?
The two of them look ashamed and can’t talk. Father storms
out. The sound of the father cocking a gun alarms the young
lovers and they jump out of bed. Damola runs out in his boxers
holding his clothes in a bundle. We see him sprint across the
living room as the father shoots at him with a hunting rifle
but misses. The father chases him outside. Damola rushes out
of the compound and runs for dear life. The father rushes out
and shoots at him but misses. He curses and goes inside.
SC 11 INT. GIRL’S HOSTEL – NIGHT
In a hostel room two girls Angela and Mosun are dressing up
excitedly for a night out. Sewa is also in the room packing
her books in readiness to go and read.
ANGELA
Ninu club yen, oo le wa moto lasan lo sibe. Ti koba je latest
model won a bounce e kuro. Infact ibe ni wonti ma n launch new

SC 12 EXT. CLASSROOM – NIGHT
CAMERA shows a class with some students studying. We see Sewa
among these studious students. Richard is passing by looking
for something when he sees Sewa. (Who is the object of his
search) He checks himself vigorously to see that he’s
presentable to the extent of tucking in his shirt. Then he
gathers courage and walks tentatively into the class. He goes
to Sewa.
RICHARD
Hello
SEWA
(Looks back) Ah Richard. Ba won ni?
RICHARD
Mo wa fine, mo wa okay. Iwo nko?
SEWA
Well mo wa pa, mi o bad.
RICHARD
(Nodding vigorously) Ah o da, that’s good, that’s good.(BEAT)
Ba wo lo se nri school yi? Se acada lo dada?
SEWA
O nlo dada, o se.

Richard gets up and moves away. He suddenly remembers
something and goes back to Sewa. Sewa notices that he’s back
and looks at him with a plastic smile.
SEWA

Richard backs away still looking at Sewa and smiles.

Richard turns round and walks out of the class angry with
himself.
SC 13 INT/EXT. VARIOUS LOCATIONS – DAY/NIGHT
Richard puts Damola’s suggestion to work in a series of
montages accompanied by fast beating soundtrack.
The first montage shows him at home on his blackberry sending
a friend request to Sewa on facebook.
The second montage shows him sending a text to Sewa saying
‘how are you doing Sewa’.He is just coming from the lecture
hall.
The third montage shows Sewa with Priscilla and Kemi in
conversation when she gets the text but she ignores the text
and continues talking.
The fourth montage shows him checking his facebook account on
his blackberry at home but he’s disappointed when there’s no
response.
The fifth montage shows him at school sending a text saying ‘I
hope you are doing well’ to Sewa who is some meters away from
him but she looks at the phone and ignores it. The
disappointment is plain on his face.
The sixth montage shows Sewa in class receiving a text.
Richard is at the window outside her class watching her
reactions (She disregards it) but is disappointed again.

The final montage shows Richard disappointed that Sewa hasn’t
honoured his friend request. He throws the blackberry on the
table and flops on his bed in frustration.
SC 14 INT. DAMOLA/RICHARD’S HOUSE – NIGHT
Damola goes to open the door which reveals Kemi and Sewa
holding their books.
DAMOLA
Ha eyin babes ba won ni?
KEMI
A wa okay.
DAMOLA
Jo iwo koni mo nbawi. Eeyan gidi towa legbe ni mo nba soro.
Oose ni wa okay. (pause) Kije lowa de tofi damiduro lataaro?
KEMI
Jo mabinu. Oye komo bi awa obinrin se ma nse now. Joo mabinu.
DAMOLA
Oro ti e later ni. Jo o Shewa omogidi wole. Punishment e ni

Damola curtsies and points towards the living room in a
comical gesture. The girls laugh and they all walk off shot.
SC 15 EXT. DAMOLA/RICHARD’S HOUSE – MOMENTS LATER
Richard is just coming in from school. He’s about opening the
door when it opens and Kemi and Sewa come out. Richard is
shocked at seeing the girls.

Richard tries to get over his shock and gives a plastic smile.
He looks from Damola to Sewa in order to register some sort of
chemistry. He finds none. Damola greets Richard in his
carefree manner.

RICHARD (TIRED)

Damola dashes away with the girls. Richard looks on as the
girls joke with Damola.
SC 16 INT. KEMI’S HOUSE - EVENING
Kemi is celebrating her birthday at home and have invited a
few friends over (15-20) Damola, Priscilla and Sewa included.
Everybody is having a drink with small chops present and there
is a lot of side talk going on. Sewa looks at Damola adoringly
as he talks with two girls. Kemi taps the glass to get
everybody’s attention.

She shows off her engagement ring. Everybody is delighted and
applauds them. Some of the guests go to the couple and
congratulate them. Sewa is among them.

Damola is with his phone having taking the contacts of the two
girls.

Sewa flips open the paper and reads through while the doctor
explains further.

The cancer you have is at an advanced stage, level four. It
has invaded some other parts of the body far away from the

belongings.
Sewa hesitates from coming out of the car. Priscilla urges her

he still loved Sewa.
SC 52 INT. SCHOOL – CLASSROOM – DAY
Sewa is seated with the class teacher of Omotilewa.
TEACHER
Good day, Mrs Oyepitan. I asked to see you because of an
urgent situation concerning your daughter.
SEWA
I hope she has not done anything wrong, madam?
TEACHER
No, no not all Mrs Oyepitan. It’s just that Tilewa’s academic
performance has been dwindling for a while. What makes it all
the more disturbing is that she‘s been one of the better
students but recently she doesn’t pay attention in her clasees
and she is usually withdrawn and keeps to herself.
Sewa looks at her daughter who looks away from her.
TEACHER
As her teacher, I’d like to see my students perform at their
optimum best as you wouls as a parent. I hope it would not be
out of place if I ask you if there are any challenges at home
that might be militating against Tilewa’s performance because

SC 53 INT. EATERY - ICE CREAM JOINT – DAY
Sewa collects two ice cream cones from the counter of an
eatery and goes to join Olatilewa who’s seated. She gives her
daughter an ice cream cone.

Omotilewa does not respond. She looks away, bowing down her

Sewa is back in the gynaecologist’s office to give her
decision about the surgery.
GYNAECOLOGIST
Have you made your mind up, Mrs Oyepitan?
After a brief pause Sewa nods.
SEWA
Yes I have doctor Dakolo. I will go ahead with the surgery.
GYNAECOLOGIST
Are you sure of what you’re saying, considering the risks
involved which include barreness, Mrs Oyepitan?
SEWA
Doctor, I already have a daughter who I want to live for. When
can you schedule the surgery?

Doctor Dakolo brings out the consent forms and hands it to
her.
GYNAECOLOGIST
Once these forms are signed we will be able to fix a date for
the surgery.

SC 55 INT. DAMOLA’S CAR - DAY
Damola is driving with a girl beside him.
DAMOLA

GIRL (LAUGHS)

Just then Damola gets a phone call which he answers.
DAMOLA
Hello...how may I help you...? (He suddenly gets angry) Is
that why you’re calling me, to get my consent for my wife’s
surgery...I didn’t carry her there so you shouldn’t be
disturbing me about one woman’s surgery.

SC 56 INT – DAMOLA’S OFFICE – DAY
The office is lavishly ostentatious, one befitting for a
branch manager of a bank. Damola is working on some documents
on his desk. The open door springs open as Richard storms into
the office. The personal secretary comes right behind Damola
challengingly.
SECRETARY
Sir, mo so fun won pe ewa busy but won kan ja wole beyen ni.
RICHARD
(To the secretary) Ti o batun pe iru ede yen lati refer simi,

Richard leaves angrily and bangs the door behind him.
DAMOLA

SC 57 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – BEDROOM - DAY
Sewa is at home in a distraught state over how her life has
turned out to be especially with the cancer. She remembers
when she and Damola were in the university and she was wooing
him.
We see montages of quick shots from scene 17 where she was
talking to Damola, scene 18 where she was calling Damola on

phone, scene 23 where she seduced Damola and scene 24 where
she was talking in bed with Damola. These four shots are
interspersed with her present state where everthing turned out
differently. She gets up and looks at her wedding picture with
Damola. Hot tears flood her eyes while she’s looking at the
picture.
SC 58 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM – NIGHT
Damola comes angrily into the living room shouting Sewa’s
name.
DAMOLA
Sewa! Sewa!!
Sewa emerges from the bedroom.
SEWA
Kilode?
DAMOLA
Sweattop pupa mi da?
SEWA
O wa ni laundry basket, mo fe fo lola.
DAMOLA
Ha, olori ibu ni e! Oun ni mo fe wo jade nisin. Kilode ti o la

Sewa has had enough of the abuse and gets angry.

DAMOLA (AMUSED)
Hee hee! So o ti le soro simi nisin. Awon to n ko e lo so fun

SEWA

Sewa stomps out of the living room. Damola calls her.
DAMOLA
Oun walk out on me Sewa! Wo o ti te.
Damola makes to go and confront his wife but is taken aback
when Sewa comes out with a knife which she point’s threatenly

at Damola. Damola is amused as Sewa is shaking but holds the
knife firmly.
SEWA

Damola just laughs as he moves nearer.
SEWA
Damola mo n so fun e! mo n so fun e o!
Damola pounces on his wife and after a fierce struggle manage
to wrestle the knife away. The knife falls onto the settee
with its sharp edge facing up. Damola then starts to beat up
Sewa who screams.In the midst of this Omotilewa rushes out
from her bedroom shouting.
OMOTILEWA
Daddy! Daddy!! fi mummy sile.
She jumps on her father and starts hitting her. In an angry
rage her father hits her and pushes her away. Omotilewa’s
screams pierce the air making her fighting parents to stop.
CAMERA reveals Omotilewa getting up from the chair where the
knife Sewa was previously holding landed. Omotilewa has being
injured by the knife and there is blood all over her. The
parents are alarmed and frantically try to rescue Omotilewa
who’s getting weak. Damola gets his car keys while Sewa is
holding Omotilewa, screaming and weeping.
DAMOLA

SC 59 INT. HOSPITAL – DAY
Olatilewa is wheeled by two nurses on a guerney into the
hospital with her frantic parents following frantically
behind. As Omotilewa is wheeled into a room, some nurses stop
Damola and Sewa from following her and direct them to the
waiting room. They both sit down apart from each other and
steal glances at themselves.
SC 60 INT. DOCTOR’S OFFICE – MOMENTS LATER
Damola and Sewa are before the doctor in his office.
DOCTOR
Your daughter is in intensive care as she’s in a coma. She was
badly injured as we detected internal bleeding apart from the
external one which means that there’s a chance that a vital
organ might have been pierced. We’ve had to stabilise her but
the prognosis for her doesn’t look good. The injuries were
really bad but we are trying our best to see that she
recovers. We are not promising anything because the situation
is dicey and can go either way.
SEWA
Is there anything else that can be done to save Omotilewa?
DOCTOR
I hope you can pray because that is the only thing I can
recommend.
Damola and Sewa look at themselves having being shocked by the
doctor’s information.

SC 61 INT. HOSPITAL ROOM – DAY
We see montages of Sewa being at the side of her unconscious
daughter. The first one shows her sitting by Omotilewa’s side.
The second one shows her at the bedside adjusting her
daughter’s head on the pillow. The third one shows her reading
to Omotilewa from a story book. The fourth montage shows her
praying while holding Omotilewa’s hand. The last montage shows
her looking intensly at her daughter, kissing her and going
out of the room. She is in different clothes to signify
different days.
SC 62 INT. HOSPITAL WAITINGROOM– DAY
Sewa is in the waiting room when Priscilla comes over.
PRISCILLA
Sewa!
Sewa looks up and sees her friend. She stands up as Priscilla
come and hugs her.
PRISCILLA
Ba wo ni condition Tilewa?
SEWA
O sun mi O! Bo se wa na loyi se wa. Oju Olorun ni mo n wo
bayi.
PRISCILLA
Kini doctor n so?
SEWA

Priscilla holds Sewa hand to assure her of her support.
Suddenly a nurse comes running in and stops a doctor going on
his rounds.
NURSE
Doctor Greg, there is an emergency in room 34. Come quickly.
Doctor Greg hurries after the nurse. Sewa and Priscilla are
attentive as well as room 34 is where Omotilewa is domiciled.
The ladies attempt to follow Doctor Greg but an orderly stops
them.
ORDERLY
Sorry madam you can’t go in.
SEWA (FRANTIC)
But that’s my daughter’s room they are talking about. What is
going on?
ORDERLY
I don’t know madam but I cannot allow you access. Just wait
here.

Priscilla holds Sewa and calms her down.
PRISCILLA

Sewa looks back as Priscilla leads her back to the waiting
seat. It’s obvious that she’s unsettled.
SC 63 INT. HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER
Doctor Greg comes to the waiting room. Sewa and Priscilla
stand up expectant and approach the doctor.
SEWA
Doctor, ba wo lara omo mi?
Doctor Greg looks at her unsure of what to tell her.
SEWA
E soro doctor.Ki lo sele?
Doctor Greg looks at them and shakes his head. Sewa screams in
agony at the implications of the doctor’s action as he goes
away. Priscilla tries to calm down a broken Sewa who wails and
screams as other people watch her.
SC 64 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM - DAY
Camera is on Damola who is devastated by his daughter’s death.
He sits on the settee starring into space as his mind launches
into memories of how he illtreated his family.

Various quick montage shots from scenes 26, 30, 34, 40 and 48
show how cruel he was to his wife and child. He deeply regrets
his actions while remembering his scuffle with Richard in
scene 56 and remembers the events leading up toOmotilewa’s
demise with memories from scenes 58, 59 and 60. Damola puts
his head into his hands ashamed of himself.
SC 65 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE - BEDROOM – DAY
Sewa sits quietly on the bed. Damola appears at
looks at his wife. He tentatively moves towards
down beside her. Sewa doesn’t even care if he’s

Damola holds her hand. Sewa looks at the hand and then stares
at Damola. He feels ashamed as he withdraws his head. He looks
away from his wife’s scrutiny.
SC 66 INT – DAMOLA’S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM – DAY
Damola is dressed for work when Sewa calls him.
SEWA
Ounje ti ready.
Damola goes tentatively to the dining table as Sewa starts
eating her breakfast. Sewa stares at him blankly and Damola
feels uncomfortable at her stare. He picks at his food and
hesistates in taking a bite. Sewa still stares at him. He
can’t bring himself to eat as there’s fear on his face. He
stands up.
DAMOLA(LYING)
Em dear, mo ni appetite.
Damola goes to the door but Sewa’s next statement (which she
delivers without facing him)stuns him.
SEWA
Ti n ba fe poison e, ma ti se lojo tipe.
Damola looks at his wife for a while but Sewa doesn’t even
look at him. He tentatively goes back to the table
SC 67 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – VARIOUS SHOT

First montage shows Sewa in the kitchen. She suddenly starts
coughing and runs past Damola on her way to the bedroom. She
takes some drugs.
Second montage shows her sitting on the settee with her hair
thining out and skin rashes. Damola looks at his wife on his
way to work and looks sad.
The next four montages show her deteriorating state as she is
in bed over the next few months. The hair thins out and her
skin rashes grow worse.
SC 68 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – BEDROOM – NIGHT
Damola seeing the depreciating state of Sewa feels more
remorseful than ever. Sewa lies helplessly in bed, she is a
shadow of her formere self. Damola is now on all fours.
DAMOLA

Damola is surprised when Sewa stretches her hand. He grabs
hold of it after a moment crying bitterly.
SC 69 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – KITCHEN - MORNING
We see different split second montages of Damola preparing
breakfast for his wife early in the morning.(All extreme close
ups).
The first one sees the cooker being lit. The secondsees fridge
being opened and egg taken out.The third sees the egg being
broken. The fourth sees tomato and onions being chopped by a
knife. The fifth sees the egg, tomato and onions being poured
into a frying pan with hot oil. The sixth sees a mug being
taken off the shelf. The seventh sees cocoa or coffee being
put in the cup. The eight see hot water being poured into the
cup. The ninth sees egg being ladled into a plate. The tenth
sees bread slices put in a plate.
CAMERA now reveals Damola mixing the coffee or cocoa. He is in
a happy mood as hesets the breakfast in a tray, lifts it and
heads off shot towards the bedroom.
SC 70 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – BEDROOM – MOMENTS LATER
The door to the bedroom opens and Damola comes in with the
tray of food. He smiles as he places the tray on a small
table.
DAMOLA
Ewa mi… ounje ti ready.

Now we see the lifeless body of Sewa on the bed.
DAMOLA (Cont’d)

Sewa does not respond. Damola is apprehensive as hetries to
wake her up calling her name. There’s no response but as he
feels Sewa’s body, he notices that it is stiff and cold. He
can’t believe it at first then the realisation of his wife’s
death hits him. He screams and cries bitterly.
SC 71 INT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – BEDROOM – HOURS LATER
Damola looks on as his wife’s body is wrapped up in a body bag
and taken away by medical attendants. Damola is distraught and
has tears in his eyes as he looks around his home swarming
with medical personnel. A man comes to him.
MAN
Sir will you sign this form?
Damola doesn’t hear as he’s lost in thought. The man taps him
bringing back to awareness. The man holds out the form.
MAN
The release form sir

Damola takes the form and signs it. The man goes away. Damola
looks on as CAMERA closes on him.
SC 72 EXT. DAMOLA’S HOUSE – CONTINUOUS
Sewa’s body bag is put into the van and the back doors are
closed. The van starts and goes out of the compound. Damola
looks at it go away. He then breaks down and cries.
