Tutor, University of Hawaii- Kapiolani Community College, Honolulu, HI, 2012 Spring –
Fall
 Tutored students in ESOL 94, and KOR 101, 102, 201, 202 students of about 50-60 at
Kapiolni Community College from Spring to Fall 2012, and Summer 2014.
 Focused on correcting papers and having casual conversations in English for ESOL
tutoring sessions. I was not required to create lesson plans or any documents, but was
required to write everyday-review about each tutoring sessions.
 Focused on speaking in Korean tutoring sessions. I have read textbooks out loud
along with the students and had short casual conversations with students.
Tutor and Teacher Assistant, Mid-Pacific Institute, Honolulu, HI, 2013 Fall
 Tutored/TA junior-high students at Mid-Pacific Institute in Fall 2013
 Tutored 18 middle and high school ESL students, and helped classroom, lecture, and
activity preparation.
 Concentrated on reading and speaking in this setting. I was given tasks to finish with
students every class that involved reading books, pronunciation checks, presentation
previews, and conversation practices of the students.
Private Tutor, Seoul, South Korea, 2009 Summer, 2010 Summer
 Tutored four kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students during summer in
Korea
 Adapted lesson plans, which mainly focused on teaching vocabulary, practicing
pronunciation, comprehension, and speaking. Every lesson was 60 to 120 minutes,
two to four times a week.
