Application for funding by ifa – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (zivik Funding
Programme) through funds provided by the German Federal Foreign Office
Funding period 2016
(Support for international measures in the fields of crisis prevention, peacekeeping and
conflict management / Individual conflict management projects by German and international
NGOs)
Projects can only be funded within one calendar year (January to December). Deadline for
applications for projects starting in January or February is November 1st of the previous year.
Applications for projects starting between March and December should be submitted two (2)
months before the project starts.
Funds for projects that have already started or have already been completed will not be
granted. The complete application form should not exceed 10 pages in font size 10 pt.
In order to identify and assess the effects of project activities, applicants need to consider
while planning how these effects are to be measured later on. Please take note of our

Please note, that only project related expenditures (including personnel directly related to the
project) may be entered into your financing plan. No funding can be allocated for permanent
staff. You may enter overheads in a flat sum. This flat sum must not exceed eight per cent of
the requested zivik grant. Please specify which expenditures are included in your overheads
(e. g. communication costs, office equipment, others). Please only use gross amounts in the
financing plan (inclusive of value-added tax).
