Apatosaurus
Apatosaurus walked on four legs. It walked slowly and was 7090 feet long. It was an herbivore. Its fossils were found in
North America. It lived in the Jurassic Period. Apatosaurus
had a long skull and a very tiny brain. Apatosaurus had a long
whip-like tail for protection and four massive column-like legs.

Diplodocus was a plant eater. It didn’t have sharp teeth. It
was ninety feet long. It lived in the Jurassic Period. The neck
was long. Its fossils were found in Western USA. It moved
slowly on four column-like legs. It had a whip-like tail and five
toed feet. It protected itself with its thumb claws and its
whip-like tail.

Stegosaurus
Stegosaurus was 26-30 feet long. Stegosaurus ate plants. It
had small cheek teeth and a small brain the size of a walnut.
Stegosaurus lived in the Jurassic Period. Stegosaurus fossils
were found in Colorado. Stegosaurus had long plates on its
spine for protection. Stegosaurus walked slowly on four legs.

eater. Triceratops was

He had a large bony

On his head he had one
short horn and two longer
horns. He was a slow
dinosaur. He had legs with
hood like claws.
Triceratops had many
cheek teeth. He also had
powerful jaws.
Triceratops fossils were
found in Saskatchewan,
Canada.

Lambeosaurus
Lambeosaurus was a
plant eater. His fossils
were found in North
America – USA, Mexico,
and Canada. He walked
and ran on two legs. He
was a fast dinosaur. He
ate pine needles and
leaves. He lived in the
Cretaceous Period. He
had webbed fingers, a
bony crest beak, and a
crested duckbill to
protect himself.
Lambeosaurus were 30
to 50 feet long.

Supersaurus
Supersaurus ate only plants and
conifers. They lived during the
Jurassic Period. Supersaurus
was 54 feet tall and weighed up
to 55 tons. They were one of
the longest dinosaurs at 138
feet long. They had one thumb
claw on each toe. Their front
legs were shorter than their
back legs. It had a 39 foot long
neck and they were giant. They
protected themselves by using
their whip-like tail. Their
fossils were found in Colorado,
USA. They walked slowly on
four legs.

An herbivore is a plant eater. It had a dome head. It did not run
very fast. It ran on two legs. Pachycephalosaurus had powerful hands,
and a long stiff heavy tail. Pachycephalosaurus had long hind legs. It
had five clawed fingers on each hand. It lived during the Cretaceous
Period. Its fossils were found in Montana, USA. Pachycephalosaurus
was 15 feet long. It used it large dome head for ramming against
predators.

and had a horny beak.
Iguanodons had thumb
spikes and a flat stiff tail
to protect themselves.

and lizards.
