and Lenovo employees with instant and convenient access to the current Lenovo
x86 Server and IBM OEM Storage Services offering portfolio across all
geographies.

Key Features of SPST
 SPST is a Global tool used by the various Regions Worldwide.
– Services are country specific and purchased only in the country where the machine is installed
– You must select the applicable Country to view the associated offerings and compatibility matrix
– Place cursor in the select country field, type the first letter in country name to narrow view options
Example: you need the Untied States offering ,
type “U” in the select country field , a window of
countries starting with letter U will appear to
narrow the selection list for you to quickly pick
the desired country.
 SPST distinguishes between Lenovo Services and IBM ServicePac offerings
– Lenovo and IBM share SPST, you must choose Lenovo Services for Lenovo product coverage
– In the ‘Company’ identifier field you must select Lenovo to view all Lenovo specific offerings

• Offering Details
• Price is the local currency of the country selected
Total number of available offerings will be reflected at the bottom right, if there is a large
volume of results it is recommended you export the data to effectively view all details.

 Reasons for ‘no results found’
message:
• Data entered is invalid, check your
entry for accuracy and make
appropriate corrections
• Offering is no longer available for
purchase
• Use the Machine Type search option
to retrieve available offerings
 Export Search results:
• Large quantity of results requires you
to page up and down to view options
• To adequately review the results scroll
right above your search results, click
the ‘Export to Excel’ button.
• Pop-up will appear asking if you want
to open or save the ‘Generic Product
Select.xls from www.304.ibm.com’
• Select open, rename and save
• You can export any search results

Machine Type Search Option
 You must use a valid four digit Machine Type
 Quick and easy way to validate if a machine has an available part number offering
 Whenever you receive ‘No results found’ always check your selection options to
ensure you have selected the appropriate options and entered accurate data.
– If your data is correct and you still receive ‘no results found then there are no available part
number offering for product entered

Machine Type Search Results
 Offering information will always be uniformed and displayed as follows:
A. ServicePac Type: Warranty and Maintenance Option, Post Warranty, Maintenance Agreement, or Remote Technical
Support
B. Service Description: Length of Term and Service Level
 In the data line where only the machine type is listed indicates all models for that machine type are
compatible to the part number in that row
 In the data line where the machine type and model is listed indicates the part number in that row is specific to
the model(s) shown

Machine Type - 4 digit denotes system family
 MTM: Machine Type Model – (1) 7-digit part number for ordering and configuring services; (2)
combination of 4 digit machine type & 3 digit model number denotes system family and model series
 SEO: Single Entity Offering – 7 digit part number for services configured with hardware
 WSU: Warranty Service Upgrade to standard warranty service levels
 WAMO: Warranty And Maintenance Option
– Combination of WSU (warranty service level upgrade) and MA (warranty extension)
 MA: Maintenance Agreement for Post Warranty Services (warranty extension)
 RTS: Remote Technical Support (Call Center delivered SW/HW support)
