Introduction of the University of Sydney Dux Scheme
2015 marked the inaugural year of the University of Sydney Dux Scheme – a scheme which aimed to
provide more study options for those students who had gone above and beyond academically and had
been named Dux of their school. The scheme attracted 348 applications and assisted many students in
securing guaranteed access to courses they may otherwise not have had access to based on their ATAR
alone. In 2016, the University hopes to grow the number of students being recognised for their status as
Dux via this scheme.

School visits and campus tours
Our inspiring student ambassadors are available to visit schools in the Sydney metropolitan area and
speak to your students about life at the University of Sydney.
Our ambassadors are from a wide range of faculty and degree areas. In addition to sharing personal
experiences and stories, they can offer advice on courses, transferring, deferring and a range of other
topics that school students need to know about in order to make informed choices about attending
university.
Campus tours start underneath the Clocktower of the Quadrangle and take in many of the key features on
campus. Tours can vary in length depending on what you require. We are more than happy to adapt the
tour to meet your school's specific needs.
