• Started in December 2008, co-financed by the EU Fund for the
Integration of Third-country nationals 2007 (DG Justice, Freedom,

• Understanding and promoting migrants‘ participation and activation within European Churches and congregations
• Promoting the Ecumenical Dialogue Process, analysing and improving relations between Migrants-led Churches and Traditional Churches
• Understanding how we can really be One Church Together

Let‘s reflect on:
• What do we mean by „integration“? Who should be integrated where?
• What is a „Migrants-led Church“?
• What is a „Traditional Church“?
• Is migrants‘ integration within Traditional Churches easier than within society?

It is the result of a guidebook ’Conflict Resolution through Discussion‘

It focuses on the church‘s context and it is planned for training employees and volunteers in local congregations as well as migrants who are leaders in their own communities
It aimed at encouraging participants to:
intervene in multicultural, ethnic based or religious conflicts,
to develop participants’ mediation approach
to teach various patterns of conflict resolution
It is articulated into two different parts with exercises, role plays and group discussions

Why do we work with trainers?
The MIRACLE project adapts existing methodologies in order to analyse the participation and activation of migrants within
Christian churches and communities.
The trainers have now adapted those methods for the MIRACLE project and will work with us for testing them in the context of
Christian congregations.
