Reading: This week we
continued the chapter book
Skylark. We read chapters
7-12 in class. Next week,
we’ll finish the book with
chapters 13-15.
Religion: We attended
Please be sure to check your child’s planner for nightly
homework.
Conner Prairie field trip is set for Thursday, Oct. 10th
from 8:00-4:30. Please pray for wonderful weather!
Social Studies projects are due October 11th. Students
may work alone or in a small group. Some class time will
be given to work on projects as well.
When you check your child’s homework at night,
(especially written assignments) PLEASE make sure they
have correct spellings/complete sentences. This is a
MUST by the 5th grade!  Thank you!

20 math test all about adding
and subtracting fractions.
We started chapter 12 in our
5th grade books about
multiplying and dividing
fractions as well.

Unit 1 Early Americans
projects are due Friday,
October 11th.
Science: Our chapter 3
test was on Wednesday and
we began chapter 4 about
Plants, too. We’re looking
forward to a seed
experiment next week!
Language: Singular, plural,
common, and proper nouns
were all discussed this week.
We took our quiz on Friday.
Next week, we’ll learn about
possessives and combining
more sentences.
