Religion that God our father
accepts as pure and faultless
is this: to look after the
orphans and widows in their
distress and to keep one self
from being polluted by the
world.
Train a child in the way he
should go, and when he is old
he will not turn from it.
 To give an opportunity
for *foster parents and
adoptive parents to send
their children to a private
Christian school who
otherwise would not be
able to attend.


and without error in the
original manuscripts and
have a desire fulfill God’s
pure and faultless
religion to, “look after
the orphan.”
 Never Forsaken is a ministry realized through prayer and
personal experience. The ministry is a dream of Higher
Education STO’s (HESTO) Executive Director. One of the
ministry’s responsibilities is to share the story of how
individuals and businesses can help children in Arizona who
have a special need in the area of educational support due to
their unique journeys.
 HESTO is a 501(c)3 organization that focuses efforts in awarding
scholarships to students who’s parents need and see the
importance of a Biblically sound, academically strong education
at a accredited private school .
 Children in or that have ever been in the foster care system, have
been forsaken at one time or another. It is our responsibility as
followers of Jesus Christ to share with these children that they
are never forsaken by the one true father, God.
 John and Ganeen Harstick
 John is a man of God with a heart for children. He himself has
adopted 7 children from Arizona. He understands that every
child has struggles but even more so those who have been
abused, neglected, and forsaken need to have someone who
cares enough to fight for them.
 Ganeen is a woman of God who’s heart aches for those
hurting in foster care and for adoptive parents who are
struggling to know how to help their children. She along with
her husband, adopted 4 children and has 3 biological of her
own. She understands the educational struggles, emotional
turmoil, fear, and the maladaptive behaviors that some foster
and adoptive families have to deal with.
 They share their God story in order to encourage, support,
and give hope.
 Christian Family Care – is supporting Never Forsaken
by developing training curriculum, supplying training
materials, and trainers when needed.
 Needed Volunteers
 Community awareness partners (parents, teachers,
businesses, students,) to tell Never Forsaken’s story.
 Trainers- to help schools become trained in the
program.
 Administration help- to organize and maintain records
for the Never Forsaken program.

Never Forsaken is a ministry of HESTO and the community awareness educator for
special projects within HESTO’s 501(c)3. Never Forsaken is a program for the purpose of
educating the community, parents, and schools about the unique journey that
foster/adopted students may have in regards to education.
 Its primary jobs are to:

Communicate in the community the importance of education programs for foster/adopted
students,
 Create partnerships with qualified trainers to train schools who want to participate in
foster/adopted student’s Never Forsaken program
 Partner with churches, businesses, and individuals who embrace helping foster/adopted
students.

Never Forsaken’s volunteers receive no compensation for their involvement.
 Never Forsaken operates under the supervision of HESTO’s Board of Directors and
direction of HESTO’s executive director.
 HESTO is the Arizona corporation responsible for fundraising, accounting procedures of
donations received, awarding of scholarships, maintaining accurate records of
scholarship paid, supplying donation receipts and annual charitable contribution
reports.
 Funds received by HESTO are eligible for charitable contribution deductions OR TAX
CREDIT per the Private School Tax Credit Program (A.R.S. 43-1089)

